It was like she had remembered, just not as cluttered on the back counter: the books were lined on the shelves, tables were in the center of the room with assigned duel areas in the back were there wouldn't be as much noise.
Sighing, Niri shook her head. "I know that I didn't leave my poor library in such a wreck," she said, setting down her back in her new (old) office and immediately set to task on putting them away. With students checking out references, study materials and even some fictional books, she was sure that she had her job cut out for her.
Humming away at a song, she had waved to some that had walked in, climbing a ladder as she straightened the shelves, setting books in their right spots.
As she had returned to the front desk, Niri could feel a sense of belonging coming back to her, making her smile.

[atrb=valign, top]Meanwhile, at the front desk stood a young woman. Sixteen years of age. Long brown hair (which was very uncustomary for the girl), and oddly vibrant blue eyes adorned the girl's head like vain little ornaments. A Ra Yellow shirt was covered by an oddly suiting white labcoat, and she wore male uniform black pants with black sneakers. The only thing missing from this dorky attire were spectacles, which she hadn't worn in quite a while. The girl was standing with a card in her hand. The card? The Agent of Creation - Venus. She was tapping her fingers absentmindedly on the desk, staring down at the card while she waited for someone to ask what she needed. It wasn't that she was in any rush. She just didn't like to stand by idly, and it bothered her that she couldn't find what she needed on her own. When Niri started to walk back to the front desk and walked around the counter, Mizuki's blue eyes flickered up towards her. She gave a small smile towards the woman, hoping that it would grab her attention. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, width:400px, bTable][style=text-align:center;width:100px; font-family:bookman old style; font-size:10px; line-height:10px; border: 4px #000000 solid; width: 100px; height: 100px;]

As Niri made her way back, she had noticed a Ra student, one who looked like she needed some help. She had noticed that the girl had a Duel Monster card on her, one that she held onto fondly. A familiar sense of deja vu hit her, making her feel like she was looking at herself from years ago all over again.
"May I help you?" she asked, hoping that she could be of some use to the Ra student in some way.

[atrb=valign, top] She looked up at the woman who had addressed her. A long haired bluenette, one that looked incredibly young. Was it an assistant? Well, she didn't wear a uniform. Perhaps not. She didn't really feel the need to inquire. Instead, she went ahead with her question, placing the card on the desk for Niri to see.
"I'm looking for some research material. Tactics mostly. I can't find any papers that seem to cover tactics with Agents. Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place, or perhaps it's checked out?" She asked, completely business-like. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, width:400px, bTable][style=text-align:center;width:100px; font-family:bookman old style; font-size:10px; line-height:10px; border: 4px #000000 solid; width: 100px; height: 100px;]

Blinking, she was surprised that the Ra student was so formal. Looking at the fairy card, a strong sense of deja vu hit her. It was like she was looking at her younger self, fairy type monster card on hand and everything. Giving the Ra student an gentle smile, she nodded. "There are more than one source of information on tactics." Thinking about it, she had nodded, waving her hand to the reference section of the library. "Let's see if we can't find what you're looking for exactly," she offered, already heading to see what she could find.
"If you don't mind me asking, why are you looking up tactics? A duelist should be able to think on their feet and in the midst of a duel, it would be hard to look up something." Of course, if the girl was looking up information beforehand, the student wouldn't need to look up what she already knew.

[atrb=valign, top] "Because tactics can be memorized. Tactics can be a guiding tool on what to expect your opponent to play next. General deck awareness is crucial to a well-planned duel." She strolled along with Niri, the woman dwarfed as she generally was by any other person's presence. Mizuki was short; she had come to accept this long ago. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear as she walked.
"Unfortunately, I cannot rely on my instinct; I rely more on my memory." She said simply. She said these things matter-of-factly, and to some, it may have even been offensive. She seemed almost like a cold know-it-all. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, width:400px, bTable][style=text-align:center;width:100px; font-family:bookman old style; font-size:10px; line-height:10px; border: 4px #000000 solid; width: 100px; height: 100px;]

Oh yes, the girl was just like her. As they turned down a reference, Niri stopped at a shelf and motioned to the giant book case. "This whole case should be of some use to you. There's not one specific area that would go to each individual strategy though, it would be almost impossible to track each one." Looking over at the Ra student, Niri smiled gently. "My favorite professor said something one my first day of school here, when I was in Ra Yellow. He said that there is no one true strategy."
Looking back at the books, Niri nodded. "These should help you though." Looking to the student, she wondered if this girl would be a strong duelist. "If you need anymore help, please don't hesitate to ask."

OOC: Sorry for the wait Niri! I was with Will for the last couple of days. [atrb=valign, top] The young woman immediately took down a book and started to flip through it, her eyes darting from side to side across the texts. She looked completely enwrapped in the pages, and didn't even look like she had acknowledged Niri, before she held up a hand and made a motion.
"Yes. I understand that it's not possible to track each one, but if you have an inkling of what to expect, it makes it all the more easy. It also makes it easy to come up with strategies one may not expect." She looked up over the pages. The focused look she gave Niri just cried of stern librarian, although she wasn't one herself. "I'm not sure if I will adopt these cards as my next deck, but I'm certainly considering it, and knowing what people will expect and what will work would be greatly beneficial." She said as she held Venus up in her hand. "Besides... I like the potential here.
"What deck do you use, if you don't' mind my asking?" She asked. It seemed like a question that was completely out of the blue, but if Niri asked, the quiet intellectual would answer. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, width:400px, bTable][style=text-align:center;width:100px; font-family:bookman old style; font-size:10px; line-height:10px; border: 4px #000000 solid; width: 100px; height: 100px;]

"I had a fairy deck myself. I wasn't the strongest in my class but I knew my way around spell cards. There were a few times I dabbled in dragons, but they weren't my specialty." Looking at the fairy type monster, she smiled. "Fairy type monsters weren't always the strongest, not unless their full potential was released."Her finger tapped the picture on the card. "Venus, I had never seen this card before, but I'm sure that there's decent strategies to use her with." Reaching into her own pocket, she pulled out a card, holding it out for the student to see. "This is WingWeaver, and she's always been with me. However, basing a deck around one specific card isn't always the answer because one could figure out that weakness and exploit it.

[atrb=valign, top] The girl looked the bluenette square in the eye once again. "Yes. However Wingweaver does have its strengths in the current style of the game." She said. She placed her finger at the page she was at and closed the book on it, holding the book in one hand close to her chest. "Vahalla, Hall of the Fallen would get that card out with ease. In the current format, Effect types reign supreme, thus does Effect prevention. Combine that card with Dust Barrier, Skill Drain, and other such cards that would benefit from a Normal Deck, and you'd have a powerful counter on your hands." She seemed to be musing now, tapping her lips and looking up at the ceiling.
"Justi-Break... Montage Dragon... Hmm." She looked back at Niri. "Anyway, I digress. It is a very good card to base a strategy around. Very unique. The opponent wouldn't see it coming. I can see how it would fit into a deck that was designed to counter the current meta-game." She smiled a tiny bit. "My apologies for getting... somewhat off topic." | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, width:400px, bTable][style=text-align:center;width:100px; font-family:bookman old style; font-size:10px; line-height:10px; border: 4px #000000 solid; width: 100px; height: 100px;]

Smiling, Niri shook her head. "The game has changed too much for me to get back into dueling. I'm retired but it is nice to know that there are many out there who still believe in surprising their opponent."
Putting her card away, she waved a hand. "You're smart and in a duel, that's a very good thing to have. And to know so many cards off the top of your head is very good, especially when you need to know a counter strategy."

[atrb=valign, top] She nodded and smiled quietly at Niri. "Thank you very much. It comes from a lot of reading." She commented. She held up a book. "These are truly some of the best sources of information; word of mouth is unreliable." She opened the book again and let her eyes scan the page.
"But I don't know if I should bore you with my perspective on literature. My apologies for taking up your time, thank you for your assistance." The girl commented. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, width:400px, bTable][style=text-align:center;width:100px; font-family:bookman old style; font-size:10px; line-height:10px; border: 4px #000000 solid; width: 100px; height: 100px;]

Niri shook her head, waving an arm. "I doubt that you would bore me, after all, I am the librarian. Literature was my best subject in grade school." Blinking, she looked at the student's jacket. "Do you like being in that dorm? I know it's not as good as Blue but it's better than Red, or so I've heard."
Being grateful she was never in Red, she had heard that it was cramped and not at all luxurious.

[atrb=valign, top] She smiled faintly. "Ra? Yes, I do like it. It means that I can improve. I have something to strive for. Obelisk means that I have learned almost all that I can and I should be going onto the professional leagues." She winked once. "That would be too boring."
She let her eyes trail to a clock, and then back to Niri. Then she bowed. "I will most likely be here often. Mizuki Haruka desu." She said, introducing herself to the librarian. "It's a pleasure." | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, width:400px, bTable][style=text-align:center;width:100px; font-family:bookman old style; font-size:10px; line-height:10px; border: 4px #000000 solid; width: 100px; height: 100px;]

When the student bowed, Niri's face lit up with a blush. "Oh! You don't have to bow to me." Shaking her hands in front of her, she felt very self-conscious.
However, since it's already happened, she let out a breath. "I'm Niri Zolaro, school librarian. It's nice to meet you." Smiling, she waved a hand to the books. "You're welcome to come back to the library at any time, just treat it well and it'll never fail you."
