New Members who are new to the site or roleplay in general can come here for a helpful starting guide. This is a simple and easy guide to show you what you need to do.
.) Read over the rules - These are important because if you break the rules then you can get warnings or even bans for doing so. Read the rules so you know what is allowed and what's not so you won't end up in trouble.
.) Create a Profile - You must copy and paste the code layout into a new thread, created when you click on the create a new thread button on the right hand corner. Once you fill out the information, you may continue with the next two steps until a staff member approves it.
.) Modify your Display Name - Make sure that your display name matches your character's name. You can do this by clicking the "profile" tab/link below the banner and then clicking on "modify profile". Your character should have both a first and a last name to it in that order. Make sure these names are appropriate. If you do not have an appropriate name or it does not match your character name, you will not be approved until the problem is fixed.
.) Take the Exam - Only if your going to be a student. If you opt to not take the exam then you will be automatically placed in the Osiris Red dorms. You may say that you are going to Osiris Red in your profile if you wish to not take the test, otherwise the rank should be "student-taking test". If you do this, remember to take the exam as it will sort you and place you in the house you belong. You should post the exam with your answers in the "Academy Exam" board as a new thread titled as "(Character Name) Test" for convenience. The staff members will be looking for the test and if you do not take it within 24 hours you post your profile, you will automatically be placed in Osiris Red as well.
.) Decks - If you're going to duel, you are expected to have your decklist posted in the Deck Registration board of the forum. It can be a real life deck or through a online dueling program. Either is fine to use here on the site, but make sure you and your deck follow the dueling rules.
.) Roleplay and Enjoy yourself - This step is only after your profile in step 2 is complete. Post in the Roleplay areas and others will join with you. Or join into a thread that someone else started. Just have some fun and relax. If you get lost then others are sure to help you out and remember to follow the rules you read.
.) Sign up for classes - This step is only applicable if you are intending to be a student. Students are required to sign up and take at least one class which will be done in the appropriate classroom board. Sign ups are available once a teacher has been hired.
