Enzeru took the phone, impressed with the brightness it gave off for such a small screen. He then continued to follow Tori, holding the phone up as high as he could due to the cave ceiling.
"Well, to be truthful, my brother stated that his employment here only hinged on the fact that I became a student. He has always wanted us to stay close, since I was little."
He started to look at the sides of the cave now, curious about whatever it was.
"I know it started after our parents died." He stated boldly, running his fingers along the cave wall.

Tori stopped in her tracks and turned almost automatically. That wasn't something she had expected. She looked down and turned back to the cave. "I don't... I can't say I blame him for wanting to stay close after..."It was tough because it made her think of her own parents. She forced herself to focus on his talking. "Do you mind if I ask, how did it happen?"She stumbled on another rock, sucking in her breath before deciding it was best to take a break from wandering.

Enzeru turned and looked towards her, his head tilted to the side and a slightly somber look on his face. "A plane crash. They were flying to my dad's business meeting somewhere overseas. Went down halfway." The somber look on his face was ruined shortly after by a ghost of a smile.
"They were good people. Dad, my brother, and I would go driving around on these little electric carts sometimes, and Mom always made sure that we were looked after properly, even when they weren't around."
He shook his head only slightly, as if he had just woken, then focused on Tori again. His smirk grew a little more, though. "That's in the past, however. I've grown beyond it, and so has my brother. We had a lot of rough times afterward, but we still walked out the other side."
Enzeru then shrugged, walking up to Tori and looking down at her, a worried look on his face. "Sorry, I didn't mean to suddenly start talking like that. I hope I didn't put you off."

It took her a few seconds to register this. "No.. No! You're fine. Really. I actually feel a tad bit better after learning that about you--oh my gosh that sounded SO bad! I'm sorry! I only meant that I went through the same thing--well not exactly--you know what? I'll just... explain."She took a moment to collect her thoughts. "When I was younger, I was in a accident--car crash--with my parents. I was in intense care and I lost both my parents. I didn't really know anyone who could understand or even relate, so I always had a lost kind of feeling. So after hearing you tell about what happened to you, I don't feel so... this just keeps sounding worse... Topic change."She took off her bag and showed him the waters and trail mix. "Snack?"

Enzeru took one of the waters with polite thanks, then sat looking at her for a moment before taking a sip of his now-opened water.
"I imagine you were looked after well? You don't seem to be in any bad condition, and very healthy."
He then paused at saying that, then chuckled, shaking his head. "What I mean is, you look good. Cute, even."
He then took another drink of water, then lay back on the cave floor. "I wonder if there are any glow worms around here?"

Tori took out the trail mix before returning her bag to her back. She ate one of the marshmallows from the snack with a small smile. Mmm she loved marshmallows... His comment made her look down at the snack in a moment of silence. When he stated she was cute, she blushed and looked to the side. That was rare to hear save from the Kyoakuhans. "Sort of. I spent a year in the orphanage because..."She shrugged before eating another marshmallow. She swallowed it whole though so she could keep talking. "I was adopted by a foreign family and that made school a bit tough but I did have a family who would take care of me."The blush was still on her face when she finished talking. Mention of glow worms Tori looked at him. Glowworms? Like, larve fireflies? She looked around for a bit. How far back would they have to go to find them? She looked at him on the ground and couldn't help but grin. She sat down next to him. She didn't want to explore the cave alone and he still had their only light source for the moment. "How far back would they be if they were, do you think?"
