Personality: Maya is carefree, although often shy. She put the others before herself and is very helpful towards others. In dangerous situations, she is very serious and would do anything to ensure her friends' safety.
History: Maya had been interested in dueling ever since she picked up six cards someone had thrown away. Later, she discovered their higher forms and soon after, she had those in her possession as well. Her love of dueling and her deck motivated her to enroll into Duel Academy to get better at dueling and show that the cards she found aren't weak.

Hey Maya! I thought about your profile, and I'd like a little bit more explanation on some things. So, I'm going to ask you some questions, and I'd like you to answer them by increasing upon the specified categories in your original post.
Personality: How is she both carefree and shy at the same time? Is she quiet and yet doesn't care about what others think about her? Is she an introvert or an extrovert? Are there any other important factors about the character; some negative aspects of her personality, perhaps?
History: What is the influence she's received from her family? Who raised her? Did she have any friends who taught her how to duel with those cards? Did she meet the person who threw away the cards? Does she have any other hobbies other then duel monsters?
