Name: Shizuma Matsuna Nickname: any that his friends apply Age: 17| September, 12th Gender: Male
Appearance: Face Claim: (If you have an image, please fill out the form below)
Personality: A kind soul who will stand firm in the face of adversity and stand alongside his friends. Is a determined soul, who will try as hard and as diligently as he can to accomplish his goals and do the right thing. Is also friendly and considers friends to be one of the more important things in his life. History: Born in Tokyo, he grew up with his birth father, Iruka and his Mother Rin. When he was 4 years old, his mother left his birth family and his two sisters, Mizuki and Ami, behind for a reason he still does not understand. As he grew up, he always wondered what his sisters would be like after all this time and if he would ever see them again.
When he was about 8 years old he got into the game of Duel Monsters, and much like most of the world, was enamored with it immediately. His first deck was comprised of a myriad of creatures and spells. However, this would all change the day he first got his hands on the Six Samurai. He looked at each of them and their effects and got a sense of friendship and teamwork and determination, something he believed in a lot back then. So on his 9th birthday, Rin and her new husband Ryu got him play sets of the cards he would need to play the Six Samurai, and he never looked back.
He went to tournaments during middle school and had a generally good record as he continued to fine tune his skills and his deck even in the face of changing times in Duel Monsters. And his mother even helped him develop a nickname, as she would always tuck a white rose onto his shirt. It earned him the nickname of the White Rose Samurai. However, his dueling would change forever one night on his 14th birthday...
He had just lost a tournament in a close duel with someone. He was a bit down at the moment after he went to sleep. That night he dreamed of the Six Samurai, fighting upon a grass field against the horrors of the monster world. They fought as a team, and even as they were nearly down and out, they banded together and struck down the evil in front of them with one combined attack. He watched on amazed at this...and then awoke in the middle of the night...only to see that he was surrounded in his bed by the spiritual forms of the Six Samurai themselves. Zanji, Irou, Yaichi, Nisashi, Yariza and Kamon, all standing in front of his bed.
He was both scared at first and amazed as he looked at them all just standing there. It wasn't until Zanji removed his helmet and smiled at Shizuma, as he said "I hope you learned something from that" with a smile. Shizuma started to calm down as he looked at them and each of them introduced themselves to him saying that they had been watching him for a while. It was after this tournament they wished to reveal themselves to him. They said he was ready to learn about them and began to tell their story to him. Needless to say, he missed school that day. And while his mother and step-father were mad at him, he was okay with it...because now not only did he know he was playing the deck and set he wanted to play...but he also now knew that these creatures, that he admired, really existed, if only as spirits he was certain only he could see.
With the Samurai's Guidance, he started to work hard and make improvements to himself and his deck. And when he turned 16 he finally got what he was hoping for, a chance to go to Duel Academy. And with his parents blessing, he went to go learn how to be one of the best in the world, and he along with Zanji and Yaichi of the Six Samurai beside him, he wore his white rose as he rode off to his new life and destiny...little did he know however, something from his past also awaited him there...

Giving a heads up before you finish your test and get approved; we'd really be rather comfortable that if you have Duel Spirits, you stick with one or two so that others can have some access to your archetype of monster. Just a heads up.
