Personality:
One positive thing that could be said about Elizabeth is that she tries her best to be as balanced as she possibly can. She tries to be patient and look at the world through a pair of unjudging eyes until she has all of the facts that she can possibly obtain. She hides behind a lot of facades in life, but more often then not, she feels like a bird that has just managed to break from her jail and let her wings stretch. She has learned that responsibility should not be a chain, and that one can still have a choice in life.
She fights for what she feels is right, even if it blows in the face of tradition. She has a firm, strong love for the school that she helps to direct. She is a bit conservative though, in that she believes that things that aren't broken shouldn't be fixed, and when change comes to her life, it scares her. She's energetic, assertive and optimistic that she'll do the right thing, just so long as her life is stable. She has a horrible tendency to be bossy when she gets worked up however, and those close to her know that her thoughts are passionate. Sometimes too passionate.
She is prone to being careless about herself, especially when another is at risk, whether physically or mentally. She also doesn't take orders very well, prefering to do her own thing, and she's more likely to do so.
History:
Elizabeth was born in Japan to a man named Masaki Tomoyo and a European woman named Etelka Majer. Her father was a business tycoon who owned a chain of hotels in Japan. Very rich. She found herself more with a nursemaid, a British woman named Diana, more then she did with her own parents. Diana taught her how to keep herself poised and collected; like a princess. Elizabeth by the age of three knew enough to dine with the British Queen's grandchildren, if she so wished. Diana taught her also how to walk, how to talk, say her alphabet, how to count, and pressured her to do her best in everything she did.
Until the age of five, she hadn't seen her father or mother much, until her mother's unfortunate car accident. At the funeral, her father and her spoke properly, if only for a moment, as father and daughter. The end result was that Elizabeth could come with him to business meetings when she wasn't at school, to learn the trade.
Elizabeth was sent to KIU Academy, an international, bilingual Christian private school, so that she could learn both English and Japanese, as well as religious and academic studies. When she came home for the summers, she would go with her father to work. She kept on getting pressure to do better, and better, and better. It was stifling pressure.
That was until the day that she met two individuals at school; Ryan Zornistas and Makato Kishimoto. Makato taught her how to play the game of Duel Monsters, a game that she was rather fond of playing, and that became Elizabeth's release. Ryan taught her that the world wasn't as bad as it seemed, and taught her the meaning of friendship and trust. It was together with them that she managed to live through the death of her father at the age of fifteen.
Masaki died of a brain tumor, and Elizabeth was left to inherit his company. She completed her education right before her eighteenth birthday, and proceeded to run Tomoyo Industries in the place of her father, and hated every moment of it. Makato's Duel Monsters couldn't be a release. Ryan gave no form of comfort. She was only duty-bound to the company.
Then came the day when Ryan did give her a way out. She, at his suggestion, started to go to tournaments under the codename "Venus", the goddess of Love. Venus would win duels using an Agents deck and after every duel, there Ryan would be with a smile. It was finally through time and effort that Elizabeth developed the bravery to sell the company to the highest bidder. And right behind her was Ryan, with Makato cheering her on.
She continued to duel under the pseudonym of Venus, and upon winning a couple more championships, she was asked to come to Duel Academy as the assistant headmaster. Though she had no experience teaching, Kaiba Corp knew of her years of directing Tomoyo Industries, and felt that she had the administrative experience for the job, as well as the dueling experience. She took up the mantle and took up the mantle of the Osiris Red dorm advisor as well, and has been the happiest she's been since.
