Name: Ryan Michael Zornitsa
Age: 26; January 1st; actual date unknown because of orphan status.
Gender: Male
Appearance: Ryan stands at a tall 6 feet and weighs 170 pounds. He is physically fit, lean and thin for his height and weight but is not toned or ripped with muscles. His skin tone is mildly tanned. He does keep himself in shape by daily jogging and weightlifting, but this only serves as his routine exercise. He has medium length, spiky, jet black hair but his deep sapphire blue eyes are his most noticeable feature. His face is oval in shape with a flat chin.
On the top of Ryan's left wrist is a birthmark in the shape of a star while on his right shoulder he bears a tattoo of a glaring black stallion with bright red eyes. Most of the time Ryan enjoys to wear his motorcycle outfit the best, since he rides so much, but he will wear other clothing as well. In his dresser one can find t-shirts and polos and blue jeans or khaki slacks for pants. He wears shorts for hot weather and long wool clothing during the winter. Ryan only wears laceless sneakers for shoes.

Personality: Ryan is an incredibly strong willed individual. His whole life, the boy faced nothing but setbacks but he always found a way to find the brighter side of the issue. He is incredibly focused in his tasks, espeially since he works as a Security forces Officer, and always strives to achieve his personal best. Ryan is always thinking with his heart when it comes to others and is never hesitiant to help friends when they are in need.
Now while, his caring attitude always separates him from the rest, Ryan is always hesistant when it comes to his personal feelings. He finds himself unable to speak, weak in the knees depending upon the subject and will try to avoid the topic all together or just remove himself from the situation.
when off duty, Ryan can be found enjoying time out doors or romaing around the city on his personal motorcycle. The thrill of the wind racing past his body as he rides always seems to help him calm down and relax. When at home, Ryan will set some time apart from his day to draw. What he draws about is something he wont share with anyone, but he keeps his sketches in a black sketch book in a locked drawer in his office. Not one for playing Duel Monsters, Ryan does enjoy a good game of Magic: The Gathering; as he feels the game is more mentally challenging then the latter. He does keep his deck with him at all times, but finding players in a city that is solely focused on Duel Monsters; can be rather difficult at times.
History: Compared to others around him, Ryan has worked hard to achieve what little he has his entire life. Abandoned at birth at the door steps of a local orphange in Tokyo, Ryan learned very quickly and at a young age about how harsh the world really can be. He was taken into the orphange and cared for by an elderly woman named Emelda. As he grew up, Ryan had no real official name yet but Emelda began noticed how ofter Ryan would take charge and play "leader" or "King" with some children and the name came to mind. She showed Ryan that there was always a brighter side to life, even though he constantly felt his life was worthless. She told him that no matter where he cam from or how he grew up, he was capable of feats that only his mind could imagine. She urged him to strive for his best in school and never let the harsh words of others weigh him.
Friends came and went depending on who was adapted by what family but for Ryan, the result of the crushing reality was always the same. Potential families always overlooked him for other kids and in the end, it was Ryan who was always left behind. As crushing as each adoption day was, Ryan always remembered Emelda's words, and kept looking towards the brighter side of life. As his life continued on, Ryan focused hard on his studies. His grades kept rising to the point that the administrators at his small school took notice and transfered Ryan to a more academically challenging academy. KIU academy was the such school, it was an international, bilingual Christian private school that taught both English and Japanese and religious and higer level academic classes. Unfortuantely, Emelda wasn't around for when Ryan would start at KIU as the woman died of old age just a few short months before his first day.
Thankfully, however, Ryan was given amnisty over his life and with federal grant money,along with numerous scholarships, Ryan took up residence in the on campus dormatories while he attended school. It seemed with every set back that Ryan faced, another opportunity presented itself to him. Time moved on and as Ryan attened school, he met two individuals that quite possibly made the biggest impact on his young life. One was Makato Kishimoto while the other was Elizabeth Majer. Makato was a level headed enough of a girl who enjoyed life in her own little way but it was Elizabeth that intirgued Ryan. Daughter of a major business mogul, Ryan noticed how unbelievably hard the girl worked while in school, in fact she was one of the small few who beat Ryan out academically. He and Makato talked and both agreed to help Elizabeth see that there was more to life than just her studies.
Makato showed Elizabeth how to play Duel Monsters, a game that Elizabeth took an incredibly strong interest in while Ryan, showed her that the world wasn't about fulfilling her father's over demanding wishes, but rather the joy's of what one had and the value of friendship and trust. Now, while Ryan was close friends with Makato, he felt he was even closer to Elizabeth. As the trio's friendship grew, feelings about Elizabeth began to stir within Ryan's. Not wanting to jepordize their friendship, Ryan kept his feelings hidden and quiet.
When Elizabeth's father died when she was 15, Ryan was there with Makato to comfort the girl. the loss of her father wasn't the devastating part for Elizabeth, no, it was the crushing reality that Elizabeth was now receiving an unbelievable amount of pressure to complete her schooling and take over the family business. Both Ryan and Makato did their best to be there for Elizabeth, but more times than not, her guardian would always dimiss the two away so Elizabeth could focus on her schooling. The sight was devastating, Ryan felt completely helpless for the girl.
After graduating High School, Ryan enrolled in the local university to begin studying a career in Law Enforcement. While he was at college, he and Makato kept in touch and would randomly visit with each other but both agreed once more to help Elizabeth. No longer under guardianship, Ryan and Makato were fianlly able to freely visit Elizabeth. both were shocked by what they saw. Elizabeth had lost her escape, the emails and short phone converstations the two had provided her with zero comfort. Scared for their long time friend, Ryan took a risk and suggesed/enrolled Elizabeth in a Duel Monsters tournament. he suggested that Elizabeth duel under the guise of "Venus, the goddess of Love."
It worked.
As Ryan finished up his schooling, he would regularly attend Elizabeth's tournaments, along with Makato, and cheer their friend once. He watched as his close friend, perhaps best friend, changed back in the woman he knew in school. When Elizabeth finally had the courage to sell her company, Ryan was there to support her. He was always there to support her. School was finished, the Police academy was finished and Ryan was already working as a Police Officer for the city of tokyo for the past two years.
Time kept moving forward and the trio stayed in touch and saw each other. However, when the orders came down to Ryan that he was being transferred to Domino City, that was when everything changed.
