Appearance:
Face Claim: Megurine Luka from the series Vocaloids
Shade Kiyomori’s appearance is a woman, but that’s as far as she goes.
She has fairly bright skin, very smooth around body and face. The first feature that is probably noticed is her aquamarine blue eyes and the tough and serious expression to match them as always seen upon her face. She has fairly long hair that is a bright shade of pink. Feathery, soft, and well-taken care of, it usually shimmers a vibrantly as if coated in diamonds and catches the light perfectly as it pours along her shoulders. This is her finest features when it comes to her face since it usually balances out with a very brooding press of her lips that destroys the beautiful aspects that make her feminine features.
Basically, Shade as a person has wonderful measurements as a young woman who is in her teen years. She has a very curvy body posture which she shows well with her outfits being quite close and tight slightly because of how she prefers clothes which she can adventure in. She has a fondness for sleeveless shirts or tops since she likes the freedom of moving her arms about, and she seems to have an appearance that seems to reflect a “valor” like essence about her. Her most preferred clothing is that of sleeveless shirt, a skirt or tight pants, (usually flex since she’s not one for jeans), and a pair of leather boots. The only binding items she wears are ribbons that tie her hair into place, and last but not least a long scarf around her neck that goes to the length to her hips.
Shade has very few preferences for appearance other than the usual. As a young woman who has gone through ROTC many times, this has made her not have a very “colorful” style of clothing. So, as usual, her uniforms are of the color black or the standard class color of red (Slifer Red). She has no definite trinkets other than a pair of dog tags that sit upon or nestled between her bosoms, depending on the outfit she wears. Her right hand is adorned by a crystal ring trimmed to a hexagon shape of deep ruby between her middle and pinky, and has small angelic-like wings. A small silver strip along the ruby has the letters engraved on it to say “Freedom.”Uniform Design: Crimson Queen {Slifer Red}
Kiyomori’s Slifer Red uniform is customized to be the type of an underclassman’s uniform even though she is a senior. Her colors of white are inverted to black along the collar and along the bust-line. Her short skirt is also black as well as the back of the collar’s cape being somewhat longer to go to the center of her back rather than being just above the back’s center. Shade’s most uniform boots are black with a red sole, and last but not least is her duel disk design being different with the white adornments also changed as well as some of the material. Her Duel Disk’s outline and trim is aligned with a metallic red steel that is very much thick making it not the least bit dangerous, but it can be used to protect the duel disk under rough conditions. Not only that, but she seems to use it as a tool for many purposes. Shade’s duel disk is secured on her right arm.~”But I’m alone;
On my throne, all these riches.”::Personality::
Shade isn’t exactly a friendly person, and for many reasons...
She herself seems to rely perfectly on herself. With a perspective of a “Lone Wolf” she tends to try to keep some sort of independence because of how her family has failed to help her on many occasions. Shade is very secluded when it comes to others, usually because she has felt like she is different from people. Sure, she is admired and thought to be popular because of how people see her, but in reality, it’s because of this she feels the loneliest. Just because the world thinks fully of her, doesn’t mean they understand her because they don’t try to get to truly know her.
Shade thinks of herself...very little. She does not think of her needs, wants, and desires. The young woman usually just goes through life living in the moment and living by her morals. She takes on her situations life as if they are tests of fate, simple inconveniences, or just passes of “luck.” Shade usually takes a moment to reflect showing she thinks a lot when it comes to her life: mainly what she could do better to prevent things from reoccurring, what she could do to change her morals if she questions what she does, or simply read a book and try to understand the perspective of others.
Usually, it does not work out; she forgets and just goes through life doing what she is used to.
Shade when it comes to people is very dismissive. She does not think much on other people that she does not hold personal relationships with. “Friends” is usually a burned task to her meaning “Someone weak she has to watch over,” opposed to a “comrade” being someone who she not responsible for but wants to associate with her. As a person, Shade does not realize that in fact, she does this because she is very scared about having relationships that would fail her in the end and leave her in heartache, much like her own family and friends in the past. She is very wined-up and tight when it comes to who she lets in. Most of the time, when people around Shade start getting close; she actually becomes more reflective and at a dissonance with herself.
Shade’s reputation as a duelist isn’t very detailed, nor is there much of a history, but her cards reflect a very dark nature of herself. She uses Elemental Heroes that create “Evil Heroes” to represent her twisted resonance with others, and favors the warriors because of them being based on strong resolve, morals, and limits. However, the twisted incarnations seem to reflect that she has a great darkness within her that comes from her past. She is very aggressive as a duelist and as a person, and seems to focus on total destruction of her opponent through pure force and lack of tactics which earns her as a Slifer Red duelist since she does not have any special type of tactical thought (and she doesn’t care for her grades).Theme Song: “Save Me“ by Nicki Minaj
::History::
Misfortune, Regret, Fire, and Memories Tarnished...
Nasuki Kiyomori had experienced these many things in her lifetime as a young woman. At first, when she was born in a small part of Tokyo, she had found her lifestyle to be somewhat in poverty, but she was happy even as a young woman. With a family of five; she had lived much with an older brother and sister, as well as a father and mother. Even in her dismay that they could get so little, one would expect that they clung together as a family, but it was actually those things; those memories that when they stuck together was all she had good for her now and forever...
When Nasuki was young, she had been like the rest of her family as far as drives and motivations were: to be something more! To be something greater! To make her parents proud! These were the things she hung onto with her brother and sister who agreed with her way of thinking. However, that she was the youngest, she was often teased and belittled in a playful way, but still which made her aggravated. Even if so, Nasuki adored her brother and sister and treated them like friends. They had even gone out of the way to cover up for her mistakes since out of all of them, she was the most naïve.
Even during these times, Natusuki had begun to mature, started to learn about the world and strived to be educated. She was very innocent, reserved, and sweet because of how her innocence was protected from her siblings. Through her years of grade school, they had taken care of her, educated her, and she had strived to be look at by her mother who was kind to acknowledge all of her children while her father had set standards for each of them. Nasuki, the youngest, was especially to try to live up to her brother and sister and be equally strong as them. Finally, it was her time to prove herself when she started her last few years in High School. This is when things started to gradually shift for the worst.
Nasuki, at this time, had become much different because of a dramatic change impacted from her brother and sister. The mature life had started to allow her to see her mother and father’s financial situation much clearer than she usually did. To this extent, she had tried to vow to help them anyway she could while trying to focus on her education; this meaning she tried to adopt a job while being in school making her grades seriously drop. This caused for her father’s belittlement while her mother being modest and trying to encourage her to not worry about them. Nasuki felt helpless because of how she could only follow directions and watch. Her brother and sister who had grew and started careers had left them only to come back, but this time even more vicious to Natuski’s dismay.
Nasuki’s brother and sister had seemed to take advantage of their father and mother. Their motivation to become something “more” had become corrupt as their ways were merciless to the point that using their family wasn’t above them. Of course, Natuski, innocent as she was and trying to talk some sense into them, had stood up to them, she was belittled once again but this time in a cruel way as she was pressed with the excuse that she was simply a child still and wouldn’t understand anything.
Natuski didn’t understand! It made her hateful! It made her angry! It made her change...
Nasuki had started to act out rashly at school. Her anger and efforts were channeled into trying to fend for herself and be respected through force rather than fear. She had told herself, “if striving for greatness did that to her as it did to her brother and sister, she would not be that way.” So, Nasuki was confused of how to go about her life, acted out in a rage, cared less for school, and began to be held back. This caused for Natuski to start to be tossed from school and instead enrolled into local United States ROTC programs stationed near local Japan.
From this place, Natuski had channeled her rage still, but into a more physical way and secluded herself from others. She thought herself to be steeling herself and preparing for the world. However, Nasuki still suffered! Even as she learned her mother died from a vicious fire that destroyed their home that she supposedly set herself to take care of her children, Nasuki had become even more angered and tempered to know such a sacrifice was made for the woman’s children...her ungrateful children. Nasuki was pushed to the edge and decided to channel things more into single subjects: that being dueling as a way of a thinking and tactics game as well as her aggression for physical hand-to-hand combat. To this point, Nasuki became an excellent swordswoman, but also became a rash duelist at that. She had even taken the name “Shade,” she covered all she felt with a blinding drape of darkness; even in her dueling.
Kaiba Corp invested in students, and Nasuki was no exception. Even as a duelist and an accredited ROTC participant, she was more than funded as she was placed in Duel Academy to further and complete her education. With her skill for physical activity and dueling, the young woman was eligible to draw benefit from classes that dealt with Dueling Tactics and planning as well as P.E. since she excelled in being a fit young woman. However, even if she is a good student and a “soldier in the making,” the problem persists about how she feels towards people and her little glimpse of hope into the future.
The problem remains...will she open the warmth of her heart to others again or fear that letting them in would destroy them in the fire of her affection?~”I can feel myself givin’ up!”~
