Masato stared at one of the statues that decorated the courtyard. He wasn't sure what it was about the statue of the dragon that had caught his eyes. A large duffle bag slung over his shoulder, the dark green of his bag stood out from the red jacket that he was given. Alright all i have to do is prove to them that I can do this. Shouldn't be too hard. His brown hair stood up in every direction as the bright afternoon sun shined down into the grassy area.
His fingers on his left hand grazed over the deck box that hanged from his belt, as his right grasped the strap of his bag to avoid it from pulling him off balance. Part of him thought this was a twisted and vivid dream, set up by some a darker side of his subconscious. His left hand and felt the statue in front of him; it was surprisingly chilled for the warm day. As it sent shivers up his spine as the senses that where going confirmed to that he was trapped in a dream he didn't want to wake up from. His eyes traveled to the clouds above him, as they slowly floated through the sky.

No classes at the moment, so it's relaxation time! Since she is still relatively new to this academy, Aoi thought that this will be the perfect time to explore. Deciding that the courtyard is a good place to start with her exploration 'expedition', she started to make her way there.
After getting outside, she double checked to make sure that she has her decks along with her. After all, it's no good to be at a school for dueling and be without a deck at any given time. Walking around for a while, Aoi is quietly taking in the scenery. The statues, in particular, caught her attention. Especially the one that resembles a dragon from her brother's deck. What was it called? Sealed dragon of Hieroglyph, or something like that? While taking a trip down memory lane, she noticed a student with a red jacket looking at a statue not far from here. Since she is never a person that can resist making new acquaintance, she walked over and greeted him, "Hey, are you new here?"

Masato was lost in thought, as the clouds lazily started to pass by, casting rays of light and shades across the courtyard. He was almost fully out of it when the soft echo of feet on cement, he hadn’t looked away from the statue but he kept his ears open for anything. The shadows of the statues stretched, as he brought his eyes back down toward the dragon statue he had been staring at. The elegant shape of it added to the beauty of the statue, but didn’t take away from the predatory look in its eyes. What was it again? Oh yeah, Seiyaryu. Akio used that one a few times. It was then he heard a voice chime up behind him. Turning his head the overweight brunet, watched as another student walked over to him. Masato smiled, as he loosened his grip on his bag slightly. “Yeah, I just arrived not long ago. I’m Masato Oshiro.” She seemed friendly, and ever since he was coerced out of his shell as a kid, he was always looking for new friends. (Long story short the card Masato mentioned is this one. Seiyaryu)

At his introduction, Aoi smiled and replied, "Aoi Takagi, pleased to meet you." Then, she took a glance at the statue that the other student is so fixated at, and she noticed that it was another dragon statue. This one was not one that she recognized, but does that mean that he is a dragon duelist also? Out of curiousity, she asked, "Do you have that monster in your deck?"
Just as she was about to ask another question, an idea popped into her head. Since they are both new here, might as well get a companion for exploring around. With that in mind, Aoi asked, "Say... how about we explore this academy together once you have settled in?"

A smile came across Masato’s lips as Aoi introduced herself to him. He tilted his head curiously as she commented on the statue. A small laugh escaped him, and his memories of Akio came to him with that question. “Me? No, a friend of mine used it a lot. It was because of him, I started dueling in the first place.”
Listening to the other students idea, Masato nodded as he thought. It would be a good idea to explore the school with someone, but I would have to drop this off first. The only thing that even caused him to think about dropping his bag off was the sturdy strap digging into his shoulder blade. “That would be really nice actually, let me just drop off my bag, and….” It was then the thought dawned on him. “You wouldn’t by chance know the way to the red dorms would you?” The young teen rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.
