A soft hum broke the silence of the forest as a girl in a red jacket walked through it. She wore the school's regulation jacket, however, she didn't wear the skirt that was required. Instead she wore a knee length modified skirt. Every so often, her hands would reach down and pat the skirt softly, as if trying to magically make it grow several more inches.
Her humming slowed to a stop as she stood in a forest clearing, staring at the trees. It was so silent, just like the school use to be. The school had been so calm when she arrived earlier that school year, but now it was filled with whispers and worry. That girl who had gone missing... When Roxanne first heard, something twisted in the pit of her stomach. It was just like her mother, but unlike her mother, that girl turned up several months later. Roxanne never approached the girl to say this, but she felt that girl's reappearance had somehow given her hope. If the Ra girl could vanish and reappear, who was to say there wasn't hope for her mother?
"Achoo!"
Rubbing her nose, Roxanne looked up. A strong breeze was beginning to pick up dust, dirt and leaves off the forest floor and flinging them into the air. Covering her mouth, Roxanne turned to head back to her dorms. She didn't need to get covered in dirt! However, as she turned, a fat drop of water landed on her face. Soon it was joined by an entire little army of fat drops. She squealed some as she began to run, covering her head in a failing attempt to keep herself dry from the rain. Up ahead, a large building loomed. A rusted gate gave way onto the ground as she ran up into the building. The door, although locked, was so poorly cared for it opened with just a jiggle. Once inside, as she wrung her hair, a chilling sensation crept up Roxanne's spine.
She had ran into the abandoned dorm during the rain. Rubbing her temples, she looked outside to the downpour. It was okay.. in this rain no one would come out right? It was practically blinding out there. There was no way anyone would find her here... No way she'd get in trouble... Unless someone else got lost too and ran here. What if that someone was a teacher? Oh no, maybe she better hide.. Roxanne turned and began to walk down the hall, looking for a place to hide inside the creepy building despite the churning sensation in her stomach.

In darkness his sat and in darkness he waited. A shadowed figure sat against the wall in a broken down room, motionless except for the slight bits of movement from quiet breaths. Nothing but his lungs made a sound in the room, it was . . peaceful.
A smile crept on Phoenix's face as his mind relaxed on the quiet and nothingness around him. People were so afraid of coming to this dorm, not only because it was against Academy rules, but also because of the large number of rumors. Attacks, vanishing students, demons, crap like that. The Slifer didn't believe a word of it, even if he did, he wouldn't really care. Besides, no one would even see the boy because of the black jacket he wore over his red uniform.
"I can take care of myself if anyone or anyone comes my way." The teen spoke to himself quietly, not wanting to disturb his own inner peace. Soon after he spoke, a sound most familiar came from outside. Rain, such a thing normally wouldn't bother Phoenix. . . However.
A large rattling followed by footsteps slowly began to crack the peace of mind the Slifer had. A glare went towards where the sound had been coming from and a low growl came from his throat.
"What a nuisance. ." Phoenix spoke quietly to himself, sliding his glasses up as he observed what would happen next.

The halls were so creepy. This entire place was creepy! Why didn't the school just tear it down if it was forbidden!? Why did they leave it up as temptation for students to enter and get hurt? She would have to write a letter of complaint to the principle when she got back... If she could find a way to word it where it didn't sound like Roxanne had actually entered the dorm. Still, she continued down the hall.
She sighed softly as she rubbed her shoulders. The place was creepy as hell, but once you got use to it, the darkness was rather calmly. If the floors would stop creeping with every other step she took, Roxanne might even like it there. However, at the moment, with the thunder and rain outside, she found this place terrifying.
When the low growl creeped through the air, she jumped softly. Something growled at her!? Could animals from the woods have entered the dorm for shelter too!? But wait, the island didn't have anything dangerous in it's woods did it? Of course not! There were students at the school and their safety was a priority! Right? Taking a step closer to the growl, after convincing herself it couldn't be anything too dangerous, Roxanne went near the area the growl came from.
To her surprise, she arrived in time to hear him whisper something about a nuisance. Luckily, it wasn't an animal. It was an boy, a student probably, but it was hard to tell what dorm he was from since he wore a black jacket. "Erm.. h-hello," she muttered softly. It was funny, she found comfort in the fact that they both wore glasses.. even if he was lurking in the abandoned dorm wearing a black jacket and growling.

It didn't take long for a young girl to come along. Obviously younger than him and fearful, he inspected her. Glasses, skirt, red jacket, she was part of the academy as was he along with being in the same dorm. He stared at her face a moment and realized he's seen her a few times before, no words were spoken but he did remember her face.
She spoke, nervously and with a clueless tone of voice. It annoyed him already. He slowly nodded his head, wondering if she could see him from that point.
"Hello. . ." He spoke quietly, as he did everyone else in the school. He acted quiet and bashful, although he would really just want to speak out against all the idiots around him. He raised a eyebrow in fake curiosity, he really didn't care.
"What are you doing here in this dorm? It's forbidden to come here you know." He spoke with fake wonder at her intrusion. "You ruined my nap with how loud you were coming inside. . ." He looked away, as if shy to say more. It was a half lie, she had ruined his peace with her intrusion.

A spark of recognition entered Roxanne's mind when she took a closer look at his face. "O-Oh! You're my sempai Phoenix, right?" she asked, tilting her head as she held her hands together behind her back. Contrary to her dorm's stereotype, Roxanne was fairly intelligent. She could usually place a face to a name if she heard it once or twice. When he spoke, she tilted her head nervously and scratched the back of her head. All he was saying was hello, but something seemed off... Oh well?
"O-Oh! Erm.." she stuttered when he asked what she was doing in the forbidden dorms. "Erm, it was raining.. s-so I, uh, just came in here for shelter," she explained, pointing up to the roof, which was curiously not leaking in some areas despite how old the dorm was.
"I-I'm sorry to have ruined your nap, but, e-erm you shouldn't be in here napping to begin with. I-It's dangerous."
