"Do you know the lore behind the Orion constellation?"She asked with furrowed brows. She didn't know what to talk about. She was starting to feel the fear of being bad company seep in. "I don't... I was just..."She sighed and turned to him. "Was that entry test hard for you? I didn't know any of the questions."Maybe this was a safe topic? Experiences are always a great thing to discuss.

"I haven't any idea what the lore behind the constellation is, actually. Just know that Orion hates Ursa Major for some reason," he replied with a laugh. He was glad to just be able to relax instead of being up tight, as he wasn't really able to star gaze while feeling nervous or shy cause someone else was nearby. He paused slightly when she asked about the entrance exam and his face took on a brief look of gloom as he thought about the fact that he wasn't really allowed to take the exam. "My parents sent me here, then asked the chancellor to not let me take the entrance test and put me straight into Osiris. They want me to lose this competitive drive I get during duels that just makes me cold hearted and relentless," he admitted, his eyes slightly downcast.

"That... sucks."Honestly, she thought it sucked a lot to not be allowed to try. Her eyes searched the ground while her mind tried to find something positive to say. "Well, the test was ridiculousness hard and no fun at all. It just seemed to drag on and take up a lot of precious time...?"She dragged out the word time, ending with a questioning sound. She frowned. That didn't sound too positive to her. She tried something else. "And if you had taken the test, I'm sure you would have been in a different dorm and we probably wouldn't have met or would have talked! So that's something to take from it?"She gave him a smile that she hoped was convincing even as she felt nervous. She should have kept talking about stars. Her hand tickled and she looked down the let out a squeak of shock--maybe fear? She jerked her hands from the ground, letting the bug that was crawling on her go flying. She shook her hands, her knees curled up towards her as she muttered 'ew' over and over. (OOC: Imagine this for the bug scene)

"Yeah, well you never really know. We still could have had this conversation, just under different circumstances and different topics," he replied, surprising himself slightly with his sudden philosophical insight. Tori's dealing with the bug made it so that it was all he could do to keep from laughing, as he watched her flail her arms to keep the bug away. He did have to lean back slightly in order to avoid getting hit though. You just never knew when someone would accidentally hit you while flailing their arms about wildly. It wasn't safe either to be within their arms reach due to never knowing. Oh well, it was the bugs fault, not hers if he got hit.

She stuck her tongue out at the bug as it crawled away. What a mean bug! Interrupting her train of thought. She should have expected as much but had let her guard down. She thought about his words. "Maybe so..."She rubbed her chin in thought. "But we probably would have awesome stars for a background or have been able to hang out in dorms--if we can--can I call you my friend?--is that too soon to ask? I'm not good at this."She rambled this and then face palmed at herself. Her cheeks colored. She sounded like a little kid.

"I think we were already friends when we got this far in a conversation without trying to kill each other, so yeah, we're friends," he replied with a smile. He didn't expect to make a friend that easily. He hadn't been able to do so before, so how did he pull it off now? It was something not even his inner self could respond to as it merely just sighed and shrugged. Ryuki turned his gaze to the stars, just in time to catch a shooting star.

Tori did a small fist pump with a large smile. She did it! She made a friend! The amount of joy she felt... she couldn't even begin to explain. When he looked back to the stars, she did as well. She was in such an excited state, she almost didn't see it. She jumped up quickly. "A shooting star! Quick!"She turned to him and grabbed his arm, trying to pull him to his feet. "Make a wish! Make a wish!"Just in case he didn't understand how to do it, she explained it before doing it herself. "You close your eyes, make a wish, and keep it secret!"

Ryuki didn't expect to be pulled up, but he went along with it. He watched her assume the stance to make a wish and he followed suit, making his wish. After making his wish, he looked back to the sky and saw that there were a few more shooting stars going across the sky, causing him to realize that it was a meteor shower, something that made him gasp faintly before smiling. A meteor shower wasn't something he had seen before, and it was definitely a good sight.

Tori had her eyes closed tightly, making her wish. When she finally finished, she let out a breath and looked back at the sky. Her jaw dropped. Never having seen stars really before, this took her breath away and cause her become paralyzed. She stared in wonderment and awe for long moments. Then out of no where, her arms flew up above her head and she jumped into the air, laughing with delight. Her cheeks were rosy from the laughter and her eyes were glued to the sky. "This is so cool!"

Ryuki couldn't help but smile at Tori's reaction. He let out a faint chuckle as he turned his head back to stare at the meteor shower. "Definitely a sight to see, eh? Can't recall the last time I saw one of these, if I ever have," he said, placing a hand above his eyes to help him see a bit better. The meteor shower crossing past the constellations was definitely a sight to see, though he had to wonder if there was something behind the meteor shower, or if it was just some coincidence. Oh well, there wasn't a need to concern himself with stuff like that.

"I lived in Miami and with all the lights, you could never see the sky. I wouldn't go out far enough from the city at night to even attempt to see anything."She had heard about all the different things in her astronomy class but never experienced any of the phenomenon that were discussed. She brought her hands down, clasping them together as she bounced on her toes, eyes still transfixed on the sky. "This place just has so much... hidden beauties it's no wonder it's so popular across the world..."

"I lived in a small suburb near Tokyo, though I was born in California. My father is from Japan, so my mother made the suggestion that we move to Japan around the time that I turned eight. Been here ever since," he replied, his eyes also on the sky. He glanced once towards Tori and once again found himself smiling due to her actions, this time with her simply bouncing on her toes. Tori definitely had a lot of energy, especially when it was during the night time.

"Really? Do you know the city--what's it called..."Blasted memory... "Domino! Do you know that pretty well?"She finally tore her eyes away to look at him. One brow was raised in question. If he knew the city, maybe they could go hang out there some time and she could learn the city for when Orlando got there. Then the three of them could hang out and--oh she was so excited. Her eyes probably reflected that excitement.

"I actually lived on the outskirts of Domino, good guess! Never once met the legendary Yugi Mutoh, though. Watching Yugi is what got me in to Duel Monsters. It was amazing seeing him duel the way he did, pulling out the Dark Magician or the Egyptian God Cards. He had no chance of losing the way he played, it was amazing," he said, his eyes gaining a slight glimmer as he spoke. He was such a fan of Yugi's, but he always hated that he never got the chance to meet him.

She bit her lip. Did she dare admit it? She looked at her hands, picking at the cuff of her turtle neck. With a small voice, she spoke. "Who... who is Yugi?"She hadn't been that into duel monsters before she heard about duel academy and knew barely anything about it--mainly why she failed the entry test. She had asked her adoptive parents if she could come here because of a whim. She gave him an apologetic smile for her lack of know how.
