[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,442,true][atrb=background,http://i.imgur.com/0kDBl.png] As to boy had activated his duel disk, Recita did the same while somehow keeping the backpack strap on her shoulder. The deck she took out before was then slid in the deck slot before it was automatically shuffled and gave her the five cards needed to start. She decided to let the boy go first, solemnly staring at him until he took the hint and began. At that point, she looked at her hand then to the field after he was done.
"I draw"
She announced as she swiftly drew in a dramatic manner that was accustom to how duelists are seen on TV. It was annoying but she had to show some amount of interest in dueling at this point right? Regardless her hand was... interesting. Not that impressive.
"I play pot of duality. I check the top three cards of my deck, pick one, and then shuffle the others back in my deck."
As she explain this, Recita glanced at the top three cards and sighed. Flying Kamakiri #1, Dragunity Darkspear, and Dark Hole. Taking Flying Kamakiri #1, she showed it to him and then shuffled the rest of the cards back into the deck before she laid a card in her monster zone in facedown defense. Following that, she set two traps in her backrow.
"I set two backrow and set one monster. I end"
Readjusting the strap of the backpack on her shoulder, she folded her hand together before looking back forward at the field.

“She didn’t do much of anything…” Xenneth thought worriedly. After doing so, he simply reached to his deck.
“My turn,” he said as he glanced at the card drawn. Marshmallon! It put up a powerful defense! All his cards did. Really, that’s all his deck was designed to do; play defensive until it unveiled his strategy. Seeing his cards in hand, he could play Nurse Reficule and then play the card Upstart Goblin, but just did not feel sure. He sighed at the thought when looked at his cards.
“Stupid me!” he thought, “I have two Nurses in my hand to help me through this, but I just don’t feel right.”
This was his flaw as a duelist: hesitance.
Not thinking much more on it; Xenneth had reached for Marshmallon, still hesitant, he had simply set the monster face down. “I’ll just set this monster and end my turn.” he had thought.

Then again, it probably wasn't if the boy was so desperate for the backpack. With the lack of cards in play, she decided not to jump to any conclusions. Drawing again, she looked at her hand and formulated a strategy of some sort. The fact that her hand wasn't very strong was not the best sign, however there wasn't much she could do otherwise. For now, she just decided to see what she was dealing with.
"I flip up my Flying Kamakiri #1 in attack mode. Assuming you have no response, I'll attack the card you set on your first turn."
As she said this, a giant green mantis looking monster rose on her side of the field. With it's buzzing of it's wings, it flew up with it's claws poised to strike it's hidden foe.
During the main phase two, she would set another card into her backrow and end. For now she was waiting to see what she had just attacked into. Usually that sort of stuff revealed what deck one had played.

---??- Duel Academia Isle [Forest] [/b][/left] "It’s really not your fault if no one cares to talk about it."
As the insect monster had fluttered with its wings open and closing in on the Face-Down card, Xenneth breathed slightly as he watched almost as if he was in awe. Xenneth was not playing charades, he was not the least bit good at it. The next second he pressed his lips together and looked at the data displayed on the duel disk of the attack monster, he was silent because he had remembered in that instant that the attacking beast’s strength would not be enough to settle the conflict that was about to ensue.
*CRASH!*
The knife-like hands of the instinct had stopped and met the massive stone hard paws of the monster that appeared from beneath the face-down card. It was a giant dark-furred Koala that held up against the attack of the insect. It had pushed and pulled in a match with the monster, almost as if it was about to lose, but Xenneth knew well, and his opponent would know just by looking at the incoming data that her attacking monster’s strength would be no match for Xenneth’s own monster’s solid defense.
“Counter, Des Koala!”
Xenneth almost pleaded as the monster had acted as if heard. It dug its hind paws into the ground and made a hefty stomp almost realistic with the Duel Academia’s simulated battle graphics. The large beast and stomped while letting out a mighty roar while pushing the knife like hands back, and then cocking back one of its paws before swinging forth to counterattack the beast. Whether it won or lost the counterattack depended on if the young woman had any cards that would increase the insects attack, but even then, Xenneth knew she had already set forth a chain reaction of events involving her life points to be massacred if she had not acted quickly. ::Stats::Cards In Hand: 4 Monsters: 2 [Des Koala] – {ATK: 1100 || DEF: 1800} [Face Down] [-----] [-----] [-----] Magic/Traps: 1 [Face Down] [-----] [-----] [-----] [-----] [-----] Graveyard: 0 RFG 0 OOC Notes: Now Listening To: "Emergency” by Paramore Chatty Ditz: -----

Course, it wouldn't have been destroyed like she wanted it to be and the lifepoint hit she'd take from it wouldn't be pleasant but it was necessary. Unfortunately, it was not what Recita wanted to see. Des Koala wasn't used in many decks however it's purpose was clear. Burn. A burn deck usually focuses on defense. The most effective ones are either the volcanics or the ones that are based around Bad Reaction to Simochi and cards of the sort. At least that gave her some direction, even if she didn't think the cost was worth it.
"I set a card in my backrow and end my turn."
She was interested to see if he was able to somehow defeat her. Her deck might not have been Obelisk material but she thought it would be enough to take care of things.

“Okay, I draw...”
Xenneth had reached to the deck and gently taken a card from the top. With one turn, he could see it was another monster: Monster Tomato to be exact. It was a beacon for summoning his ace monster most of the time. Knowing this, Xenneth had thought it would be at least be good to use it as a stall. If his opponent attacked monsters all day, she would be falling right into his deck’s strategy and if she actually figured things out, he would be destroyed very quickly...or at least to his experience when playing against his mother, Auntie, and little sister Rosetta. They were good card aces when it came to duel monsters compared to Xenneth.

Her hand left something to be desired and she didn't mind holding up a defensive line until her hand got better. Push come to shove, if the duel continued like this, she had a plan to end it quickly anyway. Regardless, as long as she didn't have much else to worry about aside from how he's stalling for something. If his set cards were anything like she thought they'd be, she decided to be more careful.
"I shift Flying Kamakiri to defense mode and summon Hunter Owl. Hunter Owl gains 1000 attack points due to the two wind monsters on the field."
The winged bird appeared on the field as the insect sat back on the ground defensively. With a hooting battle cry, the monster prepared himself to strike. Recita wasn't intending on triggering anymore effects so she decided that at least hammering down on her opponent's wall would have to do.
"Hunter Owl, attack Des Koala. After that I'll end my turn."

Xenneth had really not had a strong defensive against this monster. Des Koala was defeated in almost an instant by the shot of the Hunter Owl and destroyed.
“I can’t drag this on too long...” he had thought. His defense was weak, but it seemed like Marshmallon was his only saving grace since it would absorb any and all shocks and punishing anyone in particular.
“I’ll draw!” Xenneth had said as he had drew a card. He had let out a sigh of relief. It was one card he could use for his combination, but timing was everything. Looking towards Recita, he had nodded his head as he had added the trap card to his hand. “I’ll end my turn.” he declared. ::Stats::Cards In Hand: 5 Monsters: 2 [-----] [Face Down] [Face Down] [-----] [-----] Magic/Traps: 1 [Face Down] [-----] [-----] [-----] [-----] [-----] Graveyard (1): Des Koala, RFG (0): OOC Notes: Now Listening To: "Emergency” by Paramore Chatty Ditz: -----

Deciding it was time to at least set up a bit, Recita put the card she drew with the rest of her hand and then picked another one to play.
"I discard Harpie Queen from my hand to the graveyard to add Harpies' Hunting Ground to my hand."
Briefly, the regal harpie appeared on the field before fading into thin air. Almost as if taking a cue, a gentle ominous breeze swept through the trees as Recita added the field spell into her hand. Almost immediately, she played the card into the field slot that opened for her automatically.
"I play Harpies' Hunting Ground. All Winged Beast monsters gain 200 attack points. I doubt that you'll have to worry about it for now."
She said complacently as the surrounding forest changed in a way that the openings in the treetop canopy became much more apparent and the shadows seemed to grow regardless of the light that shown onto the field. Letting the ambient atmosphere grow, Recita simply ended her turn there.

---??- Duel Academia Isle [Forest] [/b][/left] "It’s really not your fault if no one cares to talk about it."
The strange forest popping up all around Xenneth did not easy his discomfort. The very moment he looked around him, he could see the trees and the looming shadows they created. It was as if something lurked within them, no doubt would it be a monster. Just hearing the name of the spell card, he had to say the words to himself once more: “Harpie’s...Hunting Ground...” he said lowly before looking back to the young woman. The card she discarded was also called a “Harpie.”
Xenneth’s heart pounded...
“Harpies?! Not this again. Auntie Chiasa always used those!” he had said dreadfully. He really did not have a counter strategy against this, especially since Harpies would do their best to terrorize the opponent with overwhelming numbers. Xenneth had taken in a breath as he gazed at the card he drawn knowing one thing: he had to make a powerful defense. He had known Harpies, but never known of cards such as “Hunting Ground.” This girl was probably fairly stronger than Chiasa who dueled for recreation.
“I’ll set one monster face down and end my turn.” he said worriedly. ::Stats::Cards In Hand: 5 Monsters: 3 [Face Down] [Face Down] [Face Down] [-----] [-----] Magic/Traps: 1 [Face Down] [-----] [-----] [-----] [-----] [-----] Graveyard (1): Des Koala, RFG (0): OOC Notes: Now Listening To: "Emergency” by Paramore Chatty Ditz: -----

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,442,true][atrb=background,http://i.imgur.com/0kDBl.png] Recita drew her next card and seemed interested in what she had drawn. That's one way to go about it at least. Replicating her move from the turn before, she sent her drawn card to the graveyard to get another Harpies' Hunting Ground from her deck. The Harpie Queen appeared once more on the field only to fade away just as quickly.
"This has gone on long enough. You spent too much time stalling and now I will show you your punishment."
After saying that, she played a monster on her field in attack mode. The hologram of a dragon, however small it was, appeared on the field on a chained leash held by a small winged girl. After fully appearing, he roared violently causing the winged girl to hide behind it before the hologram dragon calmed.
"Harpie's pet baby dragon. He gets effects based on how many Harpies are on the field, minus himself of course. That won't be a problem after I activate my trap card, Hysteric Party."
She was going to throw everything she had in on this single turn. With the lack of action from her opponent, she doubted highly of any repercussions. After throwing away the Harpies' Hunting Ground that she gained from the previous Harpie Queen, the two Harpie Queens in her graveyard rose up from the grave to the field. After giving a bit of a fancy aerial dance, the dragon roared as he gained attack from their presence before the queens together dove down and destroyed Xenneth's backrow card.
"Due to them being summoned simultaneously I only get to destroy one spell or trap card so... I target yours. After that I activate my other set card, Icarus attack. I target my Hunter Owl as it is a winged beast monster to destroy the two monsters you set before you last turn."
Hunter Owl was almost immediately set aflame by the trap card and almost as a suicide bomber, he rushed forward determined to take down the two hidden monsters with him. With that, she followed up with a spell card with the blooming glass flowers flourishing in the background. Then bursting from one of the glass flowers, a harpie lady emerged beautifully.
"Harpie Lady #1 is summoned from my deck with Elegant Egotist. Unfortunately I have to sacrifice my Hunting Ground for her arrival, but with what she can contributed, it's worth it."
Harpie's Pet Dragon seemed thrilled with the last Harpie arriving on the field. On top of that, Flying Kamakiri stood up in attack mode in response. With another tremendous roar, the dragon gained his last effect which he used. The roar echoed into the forest to destroy Xenneth's last set card with his effect.
"Anything you want to say?"

---??- Duel Academia Isle [Forest] [/b][/left] "It’s really not your fault if no one cares to talk about it."
"This has gone on long enough. You spent too much time stalling and now I will show you your punishment."
This was not good. Xenneth did not even know what she was planning, but just from the tone of her voice, it made him want to turn away once again as his eyes digressed to the only thing worth comfort from this entire forest; that knowing the image of Nurse Reficule was in his head. However, if she were on the field, he would have felt much better. However, it was not the case, and probably that’s why things were going horribly wrong now: that his most favorite monster that filled him with confidence was not on the field and able to help him through this predicament.
He had no time to go to that distant memory of the past. Xenneth had seriously been intimidated by the size of the monster that was appearing upon the field. The large dragon that was held captive by the leash of one of the many Harpie Monsters. It was all too familiar as his eyes gazed on at the sight of the monster, even as it let out a roar. He thought to himself with saddened eyes upon seeing a dreadful image of the card on a brown top of a coffee table instead of a hologram.
“Harpie’s Pet Dragon…”
Even as she explained, Xenneth had known the monster, but he did not know of the next card she played. The card known as “Hysteric Party” was not one he was familiar with. However, just by seeing it’s effect of summoning more harpies he classified it as dangerous, and even more, the ability of the field card had finally taken affect first hand. Seeing the harpies dive towards his face-down card, he barely had time to even activate it, but he knew he had to. His eyes went to the card that he set shortly after the duel began. His bluff was officially over.
“Reveal face-down!” he pressed the bottom button on the slot of the duel disk. The card lifting as it was destroyed by the sweeping harpies. However, regardless of the card’s destruction at that moment, the effect was not negated by any chance. “Jar of Greed…it let’s me draw one card form the deck.” Xenneth had said as he reached to his deck readily to draw a card.
Even if that was saved, the onslaught was relentless. The woman had destroyed his following two monsters on the field quickly. Xenneth, gasping, had seen the destruction of Mystic Tomato and Marshmallon. Sure, the two cards were useful, but only if they were attacked. This pretty much busted up Xenneth’s saving grace against an onslaught of powerful monsters. He had nothing but a single monster that was sitting in wait to take on his opponent’s own powerful attack force, but he knew the defense would not measure up to the powerful offense she had.
As usual, his loss seemed inevitable. ::Stats::Cards In Hand: 5 (Pending draw…) Monsters: 1 [Face Down] [-----] [-----] [-----] [-----] Magic/Traps: 1 [Jar of Greed] (Activated! Chain?) Waving her hand slightly she signaled that she'd let that slide. The worst that could happen is that he could play Gorz on her. Even then she doubted a burn type deck would be even playing Gorz. But this was a ra deck so she it was best not to assume. To be honest, all she needed was that one target for Hunting Grounds to work with.
"Harpie's Pet Baby Dragon's effect kicks in. Because I have three harpies on the field, I am allowed to target one card on your field and destroy it using his effect. Your last set card seems like a good target to me,"
All of the harpies then jumped next to the baby dragon and grabbed onto his chained leash. The monster soon appeared to rampage in their presence, almost as if having a tantrum, quickly shooting fireballs into the air in an apparently careless manner.

---??- Duel Academia Isle [Forest] [/b][/left] "It’s really not your fault if no one cares to talk about it."
“I’m okay,” Xenneth had thought, “Harpie’s Pet Baby Dragon should be weaker than the original full-blown thing, right? As long as I have a defense, I can’t be completely wiped out in one turn.” Xenneth had thought as he readied himself, bracing for the next thing to be an attack. So far, these harpies had unusual traits and differences than any harpy he seen. If anything, he did not know they could even have special effects. Regardless, he had just held his ground knowing that he could at least last one more turn to do a little more damage.
“Harpie's Pet Baby Dragon's effect kicks in. Because I have three harpies on the field, I am allowed to target one card on your field and destroy it using his effect. Your last set card seems like a good target to me.”
“What?!”
This was new! How could it have such a difference from the original?! Sure he heard of a Harpie’s Pet having strength that was great enough to cause it to grow upon each harpy, but he did not think there was one that effects varied when introduced to many different harpies. The small dragon’s power seemed to show, untamed, wildly, and partially bound as one jerk of the chain caused it to spew fiery rounds into the air as they rained upon Xenneth’s area. Right away, the monster that was face down had been destroyed as the image of the colossal Jar Turtle had vanished.
He was completely defenseless now! His field was clear, but his hand was rich with good cards he was hesitant to play. Even the Kuribon he drew would come in hand, and he stalled on trying to play Nurse Reficule, or did he even want anyone in Obelisk Blue even seeing it for that matter?
This was inevitable anyway. Weekly sighing, he had simply awaited for the young woman to attack as he simply sat not having any options. OOC Notes: Now Listening To: "Emergency” by Paramore Chatty Ditz: Oy! Tis’ cool. I’ll just assume he was caught off guard. Trying to retain the idea he seen a classical Harpy Deck.

That was not normally a card that she would think to be in a burn deck or really any deck at all. However, she appeared to be quick to push back that thought as her harpies released the baby dragon and took flight into the trees of the forest. Flying Kamakiri appeared to have followed their lead and the lone baby dragon sat there waiting for orders.
For a moment, she thought about letting him live another turn. Allow him to show what he was capable of in a time of crisis such as this. However she quickly dismissed it. She had to uphold a reputation of her dorm and for the life of her cant be seen doing anything out of kindness. Recita looked at the card in her hand and sighed before motioning her right hand forward as most duelist do in broadcasted tournaments.
"Harpie Queens, attack him directly. Harpie Lady and Harpie's Pet Baby Dragon, follow up and take him down."
Since it was a harpie deck, it seems only right to have the harpie cards finish the duel. As the duel was at it's end, Recita shrugged off the backpack on her shoulder and placed it down next to her casually.
