[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,442,true][atrb=background,http://i.imgur.com/0kDBl.png] For some reason, peace and quiet could always be found in seclusion in the forest. There was no specific reason for this it seemed, but it was usually true. At least, this is what Recita had discovered in her years. She would often come to the spring hidden in the forest to drown her thoughts with the sounds of rushing water, giving herself a relaxing sensation.
As for why she wanted to drown her thoughts... well classes were starting up again and she didn't want to get involved. With a new year comes new annoyances. She knew eventually she'd have to attend some class whether she liked it or not. She was just avoiding it as much as possible. There was no reason for her to attend and if there was nothing in it for her, she'd rather just do her own thing. That was what she was used to and what she decided to stick to doing. After all, it's worked for her so far.
It was sort of surprising that no one had challenged her to a duel though. Then again, she hardly went into places of high traffic. For the moment, she was simply content complacently sitting by the spring and watching the rippling waters in the midst of the afternoon breeze.

---??- Duel Academia Isle [Forest] [/b][/left] "Isn’t it all just funny; How people just meet each other and create memories?"
Would it not be better if life just happened to have an escape door?
The perfect door that made every situation in such an imperfect world more tolerable? It would fix any problem like a to-go-to tool! It would be the saving grace for every boy, girl, and grown person alike! When a person just did not like a situation, they would just go, “Oh! Excuse me!” and their “escape door” would just be a step and twist away. They would escape into some sea of ecstasy or come out on the other side of a more friendly and calm place! The escape door was flawless! A saving grace! A blessing!
Not to mention it was non-existent...and probably explained why Xenneth “Marie” Hikari had his back to a tree in the forest.
Yes, it was another moment where Xenneth wished he had his beloved little comfort zone to escape to; his need for his little “escape door.” The tenser he had become, the more the bark on the tree started to have a good copy of his fingerprints that register him as a “tree groper” in the world of woodland plants. It was not his fault per-say, but rather just the pure terror of the young female Obelisk Blue Student had caused him just by having her presence be within the vicinity. It’s not like she knew that he liked to hang out in the woodland area nearby and mosey along in the circular bed of flowers that had grown in an incline near the river’s bed.
“Great! Great! Great!” Each thought becoming more meek than the last like a squeaking mouse in his head, “What do I do?!”
Xenneth was not comfortable at all. The morning he had seen the female and her uniform, his instincts had told him to hide quickly. As a Ra Yellow Student, he had adopted the way Duel Academia had worked by orientation, but by word of mouth of students was something different. He had heard that Obelisk Blue Students were very aggressive, dueled on ends with overwhelming strategies, and would feast on their defeated victims while calling the rest of the pride in to take care of the rest of the remains afterwards.
Some of this was true; the rest was fabrication created by his fear mixed with knowledge on lions which he learned about on the documentary channel in his spare time. Point being...he was a terrible duelist, Obelisk Duelists were strong...he stood no chance of escaping with his dignity to remain intact if the confrontation were to happen.
“I can just get my bag and sneak off,” Xenneth had thought with a sigh. His hand readying to reach to his shoulder to catch a strap while his electric blue eyes had etched to a corner to see if the young woman was still close like some lurking predator. However, the violet-haired Ra Yellow Student had felt some sort of dread within him as the bag strap was absent to his shoulder. His face had an expression as if he had drunken the most sourest of milks and is bright skin turned snow white. “Bag...not here, but...”
Xenneth’s eyes went around the area forgetting the Obelisk Blue student for a while and found his backpack, but in the middle of the field amongst the flower bed he was sitting amongst.
“Meeep!” Xenneth squeaked before slapping his hands over his mouth and catching his breath, “Not good!” he thought.
This was the worst visit to the forest ever thus far! Xenneth had left his prized yellow backpack in the open, an Obelisk Predatory Blue Student was nearby, and worst of all she was female! If she saw him, it would be totally awkward, not to mention to learn that he was frolicking amongst the flowers. Everyone in Ra Yellow already had gotten him pegged as some sort of girly male student, but now they would have hard evidence to use again him to further make him feel inadequate.
“Maybe she won’t notice I’m here!” the violet haired boy thought as his eyes rolled forth and his hands stayed cuffing his mouth to not let a breath escape, “Maybe she’ll just thinking the sound was just a mouse, the backpack is left behind, and the a very unusual tree!” His thought growing more unrealistic with each pound of his heart.
Obviously, at this point, he was going to be the first Duel Academy Student under the age of eighteen to experience faint and never live it down.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,442,true][atrb=background,http://i.imgur.com/0kDBl.png] In the process of washing away her thoughts, Recita was very open to the surrounding sounds. Of course the sound of rushing water was obviously from the spring, but then came what sounded like a squeak of a rat and a hint of a creek reminiscent of a toothpick snapping. The first part may have been normal... but the second definitely was not. Breaking herself out of her relaxed state in a horrible groan of reluctance, she turned her head to inspect the forest around her.
Much to her immediate displeasure, no one was in sight. She could tell that someone was there mind you, she just couldn't see where they were. What she did see though was a small patch of flowers decorating area near the spring. Sitting in the middle of it was a yellow backpack as if it was forgotten and left behind. Intrigued, Recita slowly got to her feet and walked over to the peculiar spot. It was a strange spot even without the said backpack placed there though. So many flowers growing in a single spot at once, it was a wonder Recita didn't notice it before now.
At this point, Recita stood over the backpack and lowered her right hand to pick it up by it's strap. Glancing around once more, she was curious if the one that was around would come out and claim the backpack now that she was in possession of it. A great number of people had been protective of their personal belongings from what she had learned so far. Considering the color, it probably belonged to a Ra Yellow student. Many students for some reason or another go by the color scheme of their house for no reason so it would surprise her if the bag belonged to anyone of a different house.
To give an added incentive for the person to actually come out and stand their ground before her, she decided to call out. Whether she expected them to respond or not is up in the air.
"Come out if you're there."
She shouted in a moderately indifferent tone. Part of her was curious as to go through the person's stuff if they didn't come out and claim it now. Maybe there was some form of ID or something of value.

---??- Duel Academia Isle [Forest] [/b][/left] "Isn’t it all just funny; How people just meet each other and create memories?"
“Nyaaa! Did she just pick up my bag?!”
This was just simply a thought, even though ignorant of it being a reality. The violet haired boy clung to the tree while he rested his back near the tree as well as his head. She was close by! He just knew it! It did not take a genius to know that the crunching of grass was not his own feet; Xenneth knew this because he was looking at them as if they were rooted to the ground because he was still scared to make a dash and run away. All he could think was charging towards the woman, snatching the backpack, and running with the speed of the world’s most athletic coward (which he probably held a record for), but he could not charge at a girl; let alone approach one so casually!
Maybe she wouldn’t think much on him being there… "Come out if you're there."
Okay, so he was not the best planner. She KNEW he was nearby, and Xenneth would have rolled his eyes and curse the God of misfortune and awkward situations, but at this point, he could only cry on the inside. He could either reveal himself and risk being a victim of a very intimidating encounter or he could try to get away. Most likely, with the young woman this close to his hiding spot, Xenneth would most likely be seen. It was like right now the only thing that was separating them was a wall. Clearly, he heard her voice, feel her faint presence, and even felt some closeness as if they were in the same room. However, this tree was their wall; it left simple appearance to the imagination as well as intentions.
He had to give a good impression. He had to make it seem like he was someone not to mess with.
Of course! That was a grand plan! Xenneth raised brow thinking about just how quickly the idea came to mind. She was an Obelisk Blue Student, but yet, she did not know if he was Ra Yellow, right? She was looking for him, not knowing if he could be a man or beast. Now that he thought about it, he had the upper hand; the element of surprise! She had not seen his feminine-like baby face, slender form, nor heard his fragile voice. She just knew he was a lurker, someone close to was well aware that she was nearby, and she could be just as much as a victim as he could to her own shenanigans. What to do in the face of a bear? Act like you’re bigger! That’s another tip of the wild!
“She doesn’t scare me!”
Xenneth, clearing his voice with a deep grunt, a pat on his chest and putting on a strong face that was unseen behind his hiding spot. He shown the most masculine and fierce expression that his electric blue eyes and pressed lips could show even with a face decorated like his own was. His finger nails even let go of the bark of the tree and tightened into little fists.
“N-no! Y-you come out!”
…that was tough, right? He had thought so at least. For a moment he did. It did not sound tough. Maybe there was something missing. His tone dropped slightly as he tried to think of something else to say. There was demand, tone of voice, but three was always a good number when counting off your components. What was a third? Yes! It was insults! Insults were the ultimate provocation! He could at least say something about her appearance from what he seen at a glimpse after knowing she was there. He could say she was fat…but that would be a complete lie. Ugly? No, not the very least. Her mother? That was a little mean, and she was probably a nice woman who baked some delicious pastries. He had to go for the jugular and call it how he seen it…
“Uh…yeah! Umm…bluey!” Xenneth was silent for a moment. He thought about it, mowed it over and after a brief second he felt proud…and then bad. “U-uh…I’m sorry…I-I’ll come out…”
He could at least save face, right?
Xenneth wasn’t very strong when it came to insults or trying to be tough. If anything, he did not think he deserved it. He was spunky, but this was not one of those times where he felt it called for it. If anything, he never “felt” it, it just came pouring out. Even as he reached his fingers along side of the tree, sliding his body along as he slowly revealed a part of his face as if he was being unveiled by a blanket, he was nothing short of pure delicate of nature. His cheeks were beat red, his mouth had been sealed tight to not let any unnecessary (not to mention horrible) retorts to come from it. His eyes had not gone directly to the young woman, but rather the flowers near her feet as he was not brave at heart to search for eye contact. His shoulders were not strong, and only one need to be seen as it slumped from how he peeked behind the tree in a hesitant manner.
He said nothing more. His throat had gone dry the moment he was exposed.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,442,true][atrb=background,http://i.imgur.com/0kDBl.png] The instant that she called out for the mystery person to come out, she didn't expect an immediate reply. Of course, she was right. The response she got was the opposite of what she expected though. An eyebrow rose in confusion and interest. As far as she was aware, she was standing in the open in the center of a field of flowers. It wasn't exactly in her character to be in this situation but what can you do? In any case she hoisted the bag onto her back, only having one strap supporting it on her right shoulder. So much for going through the bag.
This voice that called out was of no interest to her. Clearly the person who it belonged to knew she was there and had been too scared to show their face. The hesitation in their tone was blatantly obvious for a person like her. On top of that, the words he gave were apparently his best comeback line. There was a word for people like this person but Recita kept this thought to herself.
"Oh?"
She questioned with a slightly amused tone even though she actually had no interest. The voice continued to call her... bluey? How innocent and frail this person must have been. So far she couldn't tell what gender this voice belonged to... but supposedly that didn't matter much either. It simply affirmed the fact that the boy was not in the obelisk dorm as he referred to her dorm color as if it had been an insult. Exhaling a heavy sigh, she glanced back at the spring with her maroon eyes. How had this trip turned out this way? It did not take long for the person to spout an apology as she refused to respond to the attempt at an insult.
At this point, she could see the movement of a person behind a nearby tree. The figure still partially hidden as if he had been testing the waters of his fear. At this point, Recita turned to face the questionable person with her left hand on her hip and her right hand gently clutching the one strap on her right shoulder. Well... the person certainly looked feminine, but something inside her was telling her otherwise. He had come into her view now though so that was certainly a step. The red face he bore and the pathetic look he wore did strangely make her get put off guard.
"Shouldn't you be in class?"
She decided to say to test him, her voice forcing a darker undertone of authority that she didn't have. It appeared he seemed afraid of her or of the embarrassment and she couldn't tell if it was because of her rank or her gender. Besides, someone had to hold the authority here.

---??- Duel Academia Isle [Forest] [/b][/left] "Isn’t it all just funny; How people just meet each other and create memories?"
He had not looked up for a while now.
Usually Xenneth liked to look up; he was dreamer after all, head in the clouds. However, the presence of the young woman demanded the attention he would not give. He was rebellious in his own sort of way, not facing others when addressing him at times, feeling too intimidated to give his attention to someone who he felt thought little of him. He was not doing this on purpose, but rather out of his own sadness. When everyone looked down on you, why would you look up to them? It was a heart-wrenching feeling; more than those words could describe as he felt so many twists that it was as if humanity was trying to choke the life out of him with his insecurities. He stopped, stalled, and let his body shift between standing on legs that felt like jelly and leaning a shoulder and sliding a weak hand against the bark of the tree.
"Shouldn't you be in class?"
There it was: that tone he was so use to. Of course, the average student would snap saying, “shouldn’t you?” or “That’s not your business;” however Xenneth only thought one thing…
“It’s not like it matters.”
It was true, Xenneth was supposed to be in class; In fact, he had been in class. However, the moment he was sitting in front of a seat full of Slifer Red Students, he was already ridiculed by the other students. It had seemed to get around quick that he wasn’t a very good duelist, he was a stickler for luck as his others had said, and he was mostly just some nurse and not a real duelist. The violet-haired boy had sunk into such a depression and panic attack that was so mounting that he just walked out: ignorant that the very same students had already been punished. That wouldn’t do him any good anyway; not like a field of flowers, but it seemed like that splendor was to be taken away from him too by the footwear that planted amongst the colorful fold.
His eyes had scanned from feet, to leg, and then to hips. Not in a perverse way like some shallow boy who stared at girls with raging hormones, but someone who was like a lost puppy!
Xenneth’s electric blue eyes stopped at only one thing: the color of yellow that disagreed with the young woman’s scheme that she wore. He knew then, it was his bag, but still yet dared to look into her eyes. It was only for a slight second he saw her face, but with a quick and shameful sigh, his electric blue eyes went back to the flowers. He did not want to see her face; he did not even want to remember it or see it again seeing he thought he knew what people like her was capable of.
“P-please…” he pleaded in a gentle voice as he stepped from behind the confines of his safety tree, “…can I please…have my backpack?”
Take his backpack and leave, even if he had to run. It was the best thing to do since there was no such thing as an “escape door.”

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,442,true][atrb=background,http://i.imgur.com/0kDBl.png] Disregarding the fact that the presumed male had ignored her question, Recita jerked her head to the side to lightly sweep her hair out of her face without moving her hands. Still the shy hesitation was still very much apparent. The lack of eye contact just made it that much more obvious that this boy had no intention of cooperating with his meek demeanor. Never the less the fact that he had the guts to be straight forward to ignore her to ask for the bag back... she wasn't sure what to say. Well except what she usually said.
"What's in it for me?"
Sure she might have sounded evil, snobbish, full of herself at most however she wasn't going to hide what she was. She was blunt and rarely did things without some benefit for her, even trivial things such as participating in events had some ulterior motive, whether it was to amuse her or occupy her curiosity, whatever. Didn't people have a saying... finder's keeper's loser's weepers? That applied here. If the male didn't care enough for the bag to leave it behind as he did, did he really deserve it back? Of course not. Not without some punishment.
"It's not like I know this previously belonged to you. There is no proof as far as I can see."
She continued as if to justify herself. Personally she didn't feel like she needed justification, however she was much harsher than most people and she acknowledged that about herself. This was more so that she didn't completely fit in with the discrimination that came with being an Obelisk Blue. Those things always annoyed her, the scrutiny of the colors and how that came to define your personality apparently. It was stupid, but the kid didn't have to know her thoughts on it.
"And it's not like I can trust someone that refuses to look me in the eye."
With that, she turned her head towards the springs that continued to run peacefully. It was inspiring how it continued moving and running, oblivious to the world around it. Sure the currents change depending on it's mood, but that was natural. Why couldn't her life be like that without hiccups like these? Sure it was a pain to deal with but as long as she get something out of this encounter, she couldn't say she minded. Plus knowing this kid, she doubted that he'd attempt anything such as attacking her for it. At most he'd challenge her, but considering he couldn't even bring himself to look at her, she doubted it.

---??- Duel Academia Isle [Forest] [/b][/left] "Isn’t it all just funny; How people just meet each other and create memories?"
"What's in it for me?"
Why had that question not surprised him? He was not sure of it himself, but his instincts had convinced him that it was normal. It was the way of the world, right? You had to give something in order to receive, even if it did rightfully belong to you. Xenneth was the prey of this in every aspect of his life, not just the minor “give and take,” but the also “Take and more take”, the “Finders keepers”, and not to mention the infamous, “I’m just going to beat you up because I feel like it.” Yes, there was no mercy for the young violet haired boy who was the victim of every known philosophy known to man that involved the weak.
“I don’t have anything,” he lied in a way. Honestly, the only thing he had was his card deck. If she was looking for his self-esteem, dignity, or respect; she was a few bullies late.
"It's not like I know this previously belonged to you. There is no proof as far as I can see."
“It is!” he cried suddenly breaking his meekness, “My…!”
He paused, stopped. The last thing he needed her to know was that his proper belongings were in there: including his most important keepsake. He had pressed his lips together and fingers that cuffed around them as if to take back or retain what he could say. There was nothing else that left his lips as he remained quiet, sound, and simply quivering at every pulsating beat of his heart as it sped up. The one thing that could prove that it was his backpack was in there, but at same time, it would be too unbearable to disclose.
“My journal is there…” he thought. Personal thoughts, feelings, and history were in her hands, but yet, even the thought that she could well know that was unbearable for him.
"And it's not like I can trust someone that refuses to look me in the eye."
She had a point. Xenneth’s pride just did not want to admit it.
“It doesn’t matter,” he had thought, “It’s not like there would be anything in them but judgment. That’s what’s usually there in everyone’s eyes.”
No one looked at him like his family: eye that were pure but weak, and eyes that were filled with deep love but troubling concern. They were true affections, and he could make out his reflection amongst sorrow filled tears that were held back each time. That’s how his mother and sister were, but everyone else, it was different. It was either he was their prey or he was some sort of person looked down on. Even the fact that he was Ra Yellow did not even make him feel any more respected or superior. Xenneth Hikari’s inferiority complex had ran its course deeper into his heart than any blood cell that raced through it. He could stand a lot of things, but if it was anything, it was that someone else would know of his feelings and laugh at them…again.
“What do you want?!” his voice cracked, “I have nothing to give you, not even money! I just want my backpack!”

Recita said truthfully. While it was in her best interest to keep the bag, she would give the bag back if there was a reason to give it back. She didn't need the bad publicity roaming around of her bullying a kid because she confiscated a bag and wouldn't give it back. At the same time, the boy didn't have any proof of his claim even though she knew it was probably true. The bad reputation she'd get wouldn't help her keep a low profile though. She was one of the few obelisks that skips classes so it wouldn't be hard to pinpoint who she was.
"But perhaps..."
Maybe the boy wouldn't event think that far. He seemed like one that was used to being picked on after all. However if he was a tattle tale, then it wouldn't be beneficial for her to be introduced whether it be in a good light or bad. So she decided that she'd prefer to test the level of the boy. If he was a Ra she wanted to know what they were made of at least. It was already clear that Ra students didn't think well of Obelisks though.
"Show me your strength. Then I might consider putting the bag back where I found it and pretend not to have seen it."
Course she didn't sound happy saying this but... hey there were a lot of things she wasn't happy about at this point.

The girl's wondering led her here. Not entirely sure why, Rebecca Telenand stood in the forest, taking in the scenery with a cautious eye. It was as if something was calling to her, but what exactly, she wasn't sure. "Show me your strength. Then I might consider putting the bag back where I found it and pretend not to have seen it."
Rebecca snapped out of her little reverie as the sharp voice got her attention. It didn't take long to see what was going on - a Ra student was lurking with a melancholic expression, and a rather voluptuous Obleisk girl holding a golden backpack. (as if becca's self-confidence needed another hit) Even for someone as timid as Rebecca, it was easy enough to put two and two together. which could only lead to one conclusion. "H-Hey! St-stop picking on him!" yeah - like that was going to work. Standing up in all the fury of a 4-foot 10-inch pipsqueak of an obelisk, Rebecca pointed a finger at Recita. "W-what'd he ever do to you?"

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,442,true][atrb=background,http://i.imgur.com/0kDBl.png] At the sound of another person, Recita glanced towards the source. Great. Another annoyance she didn't need to deal with. At least this time it seemed like someone that had some resemblance of standing up to her. Regardless, it was still annoying especially since all she wanted was some peace and quiet too. Why are so many people suddenly skipping class though she wondered. Attempting to brush it off, Recita simply sighed and shifted her right hand over to brush away a lock of hair.
"Learn your manners and stop making an ass of yourself,"
She stated with a harsh glare in her eye as to force the girl to back off. It was a saying she learned a few months ago. Course, being new to these terms of speech, she didn't say it right. Assuming makes an ass out of you and me. Yes that was the correct line. However, even if it did apply to this situation, Recita wouldn't know her error and leave the blatent insult there as she continued. While she felt no need to defend herself, as long as she could avoid having more people on her back she'd keep talking to the naive girl until either one of them got bored.
"I found this bag laying here alone and this boy then conveniently comes up afterwards, claiming it is his. However he lacks any proof and refuses to look me in the eye so there is no reason to believe any claims."
With that, she folded her arms across her chest. The single strap holding up the bag to her back loosely drooped on her shoulder. Just a bit more antagonism and she didn't what she'd end up doing. The thing is, she was never good at dealing with kids that didn't have anything to show for themselves. Hell, she wasn't good with kids period much less those that acted like them.
"Why aren't you in class girly?"

Well, being as timid as she was, Recita's words stung about as much as a wasp right in the elbow - something Rebecca knew too well. And yet...there was something she felt a need to fix. How? no clue. But she had to try, right? Just think things through, right?
"W-well...I should be asking you that, too! If I'm skipping class, then so are you, so it's not like you can just go to one of the teachers!" Okay...she was thinking. It was a start.
"A-and! If you said you 'found' that bag, then it can't be yours either! So why do you think its your job to watch over it?"
Well, her logic was sound on its face, or at least she thought it was. Of course, one good insult would likely be enough to send her away in shame, but with the roll she's on...maybe she might just stand her ground.

---??- Duel Academia Isle [Forest] [/b][/left] "Isn’t it all just funny; How people just meet each other and create memories?"
"There is nothing I can do for you."
Xenneth really preferred to get beat up at this point. At least afterwards, people saw that he was too weak to do anything and simply had mercy on him by throwing his stuff back at him. In the end, everything remained; except his pride. However, this woman was difficult, very passive! It was like his existence in entirely was ignored when it came to this issue. Was he so weak that even the violet haired boy throwing himself at someone’s mercy was not good enough? It was just a backpack...he wished he could say that, but something valuable was in there: memories as innocent as the color of pure white paper they were written on.
"But perhaps..." she had spoke up introducing a ray of light to the situation. To say “but” meant there was a change of plans; an open window to exchange something. Whatever it was, he would answer yes to the bartering request! After all, no one was master at trading than he was since he had little to no decency remaining anyway. He was a weakling, and she would most likely ask no more than he was capable of. Just perking up and finally making eye contact with her, for once, he beckoned to her expression as if he was about to take an order with a notepad and pencil in hand as she said...
"Show me your strength. Then I might consider putting the bag back where I found it and pretend not to have seen it."
Break the metaphorically pencil, let the notepad flow down the stream if it existed! Curse it all! Xenneth was nothing short of disappointed as he swallowed while meeting the young woman’s look. Not only were her features draining in his eyes, but so was the task! She saw him, right? That’s the only thing that could go through his mind as she asked for him to prove his strength: his scrawny little arms surely could not impress her, so most likely she was referring to the only thing a person could mean on Duel Academia Island:
“You mean a ‘duel,’ right?”
Xenneth asked with a weak sigh to follow the weak expression upon his face. This clearly would not end well.
"H-Hey! St-stop picking on him!" A voice suddenly cried around, "W-what'd he ever do to you?"
Oh great! There was someone else here to see him in this predicament. It was another girl, and she came to help...him? Xenneth was a bit taken back at first. Looking at her, he could have sworn she was here to help her dorm-mate: another Obelisk Blue student who was hard to ignore to look in the face because she was slightly shorter than he was. It was even more damaging to his pride before he could look at her, nearly five feet and with lungs louder than his own from this whole confrontation. She certainly seemed noble to want to help him, but, to his imagination, Xenneth could not think why.
The girls were now in a stand-off. Face-to-face...but at a distance
Match for match...at least gender wise...
Tooth and nail! Not literally...
However, Xenneth hoped things did not go that far, and if it did, he felt it would be his fault. His mind flowed with so many thoughts, and above all, he could feel as if a gentle voice was to tell him to give into his instinct. His blue eyes went to his duel disk as the girls went amongst themselves in their argument. His lips wrinkled in pure discomfort. He did not want to be responsible for this getting out of hand all because he was too weak to defend himself.
She wanted to see his strength? He would show the Obelisk Student.
“W-wait!” the violet haired boy cried aloud as he looked to his left wrist. The withdrawn Ra Yellow Duel Disk with the top adorned with a Red Cross shown his affiliation as a Medical Student. His eyes gone to the taller of the Obelisk Blue Girls. “You just want me to duel you, right? Then I can have my backpack back?” he asked.
He was silent for a moment, a hesitance that lasted only for a second. More upset that it come to this, than determined to go through this, his agitation could be mistaken for determination as he looked at Recita with eyes equal to that caliber. “I accept.” he concluded to his decision.
"I’m asking because I just don’t know what's so funny about it." OOC Notes: Now Listening To: “I’ll Meet You There” by Owl City Chatty Ditz: I have some time! Finally! Don’t know how you want to duel though.

OOC Notes: I don't mind either way Xen. If you want to duel using Dueling Network it'll be fine except you'd have to wait until Wednesday at the soonest. Long story. Just let me know what time and day is most convenient to you.

Recita was then cut off by the boy. So he was finally showing some backbone. It was impressive enough in her eyes that she almost missed the part about dueling and was just going to throw the backpack at him and call it a day. However, she didn't feel like giving the other girl the time of day to throw that act of kindness back at her face. At the same time, she had no intention of wanting to duel. Dueling just wasn't her thing. The fact that she was a blue student didn't make much of a difference to her really. Regardless, now that she was challenged in a way, she couldn't very well say no.
She could however, correct him.
"I did not mean dueling, but if you're dead set on it then I'll oblige. I'll walk away from it after the duel."
Did she intend to take the duel seriously? No. Not only was the boy not even in her color rank, she didn't feel like going all out. All that was needed was a simple duel and then she can throw all this behind her regardless of the results. As for the girl, she'd just have to sit back and deal with it. Plus as long as she used a joke deck, the girl wouldn't know Recita's own potential. It was ideal in her mind at least. Course, she didn't intend to let that show in her actions as she reached into her blazer pocket and produced her deck.
"Let's go then."

---??- Duel Academia Isle [Forest] [/b][/left] "It’s really not your fault if no one cares to talk about it."
The duel disk on Xenneth’s left wrist came to life as the lights came on; the numbers displayed zeroes trailing behind an eight and the card deck slot shuffling. Obviously, the duel was on.
“Duel…” the violet haired boy chimed weakly while looking to Recita.
She had not moved, said nothing. Was she giving him the initiative? She must have! At this point, Xenneth had taken it as motive and simply drew his card, “I-I guess I’ll start…” he said weakly adding the card to his hand. A trap card, but not one particularly good for just playing so the opponent would fall for your hand; Jar of Greed took strategy after all. Thinking about this, Xenneth had nodded his head and reached for a far monster card to his left hand and slapped it face down upon the duel disk.
“I-I’ll set a monster card face-down,” he had chimed, “…and a face-down card in my magic and trap card zone as well.”
Sure, it was not a handy trap, but it could be a good bluff. Xenneth nodded his head gesturing towards Recita.
“Your turn.” he spoke weakly. He was going to see what a fearsome Obelisk Blue deck looked like.
