DJ sighed, draping his suit jacket over his shoulder as he adjusted his tie, walking around with Sahtra after the dance. The star-filled night sky was beautiful and a gentle night breeze blew past. It was getting late but lateness was always relative for the young, as long as the sun didn't come up the night was young. The dance hadn't gone as well as either of them had expected so they had ditched in favor of walking around by themselves. "Well, we're all dressed up, let's find somewhere to go." He grinned. He didn't want all of Sahtra's preparations that she enjoyed so much to go to waste, so he figured they could craft their own fancy night on the town.
It was then that he spotted the Stardust Restaurant, all lit up in stark contrast to the othewise closed district. "Huh, that's strange, that place is usually closed. I guess it's one of those places that's only open at night. Well, we're here, it's there. What do you say?" He chuckled softly. "I owe you dinner after all that." He smiled warmly. The place looked appropriately fancy for their attire and a late dinner seemed exactly what he was looking for. Maybe this night could be made up for after all.

That was SUCH a horrid dance! So horrible! It had been so bad that it caused her to have a pout--the horror of it! She walked, her arms crossed but her posture still ladylike. She was holding her clutch with such a grip that her knuckles were white. Her brows were turned in, looking like those silly emotes that people used online. [ ] It had been DJ who had noticed her negative reaction to the dance and offer a walk instead. To somewhere for them to make of good use of all this planning and work, for sure. She had thought many times on ranting to him, but she was sure he wouldn't understand the level of her anger. That was when the building was pointed out. She looked up and tilted her head ever so slightly to the side. The Stardust Restaurant. She hadn't come here yet for she was normally on her way back to the dorms. She let her arms return to her side and she looked at him. Dinner? She felt the anger leave and she hooked her arm around his with a sly smile. "That sounds fine. Turn a dance into a date to make things better."

DJ blushed a bit as she seemed to take to the idea. He held her arm with his, feeling the smoothness of her skin and holding back a soft giggle in his pink cheeks. "A d-d-d-date...?" He stuttered a bit, blinking a few times, he hadn't thought of it like that. Knowing her she probably put it that way to make him nervous though for all he knew she could have meant it. "S-Sure!" He chuckled, letting out a sheepish smile as he turned towards her. He took her arm firmly in his as they headed to the lit building, ready for their own version of celebration.
Despite being lit up and open for business, the restaurant seemed to have passed its peak dinner hours. DJ looked at the clock and saw that it was almost 11 o'clock at night, long past the time most normally people had dinner. However with all the preparations, the pomp and circumstance of the dance, they had skipped dinner in favor of small snacks at the dance itself. So while the restaurant had a few early midnight snackers and stragglers from late dinners, they would be mostly left in private for their stay.
DJ appraoched the waiter and asked for a table for two, quickly being led along the aisle, keeping an eye out for something special. He tapped the waiter's shoulder when he saw something a bit different and they sat down, being given two menus though being told they could order whatever they like as they could make almost anything. This particular table, in addition to the lights that mimicked the night sky, had a small skylight about the size of the table that allowed the moonlight to filter down over the table beautifully while giving the a nice enclosed feel. The atmosphere was very fancy yet peaceful. "Well, this is lovely." He smiled gently to his female companion before opening his menu and looking over it for ideas.

She leaned over a bit when he stuttered. "Yes, a date."She smiled when he said sure and looked ahead of them to the restaurant. She let her eyes idly wander the place as DJ handled everything else. Well, it was lovely and much more classy than the other places she had been since coming here from Britain. Luck was on their side at this point, as she was glad for the solitude they should have. She looked at the table that he picked out and her breath caught. It was absolutely beautiful. DJ sat down and she moved to sit, but was enthralled with the decor. She smiled as he spoke. When he had opened his menu, that was when she made her move. She leaned down to him. "It is. Thank you."She gave him a quick and light kiss to the cheek before sitting down and picking up her own menu. A salad? A nice light meal but she already had salad today. Perhaps just a light fish meal... or livers... they were good for her skin but she hated that word. Maybe she could order it in french? Or a soup. Soup and bread--oh carbs after sun set... fruit? Yeah fruit would work... Screw it she finally decided, I'll just get steak and potatoes. She closed her menu, knowing what she wanted and looked at DJ. "Your suit looks great on you, by the way."

DJ smiled as he took it all in, chuckling softly as he saw that she liked their accommodations. Over the past few days she had shown herself to be a lady of wealth and taste and so he was happy that he was still able to impress her a bit. As he looked over his menu casually, trying to decide what he might like to eat, he looked back up to her as she spoke. "No problem." His cheek erupted in a hot blush as he felt her warm lips brush against it. He quickly buried his face in his menu, hiding somewhat from embarrassment. "T-Think nothing of it." He chuckled nervously, ducking his head down slightly.
As he peeked upwards again, he saw her bending over to sit down, giving him a delightfully blush-inducing flash to the face. He let out a small squeak but did his best to hide his reaction to the sight he had just beheld. "Why thank you, you did a wonderful job picking it out." He smiled brightly. "Your dress is... fantastic as well." He had to toss out a few other words that popped into his head before arriving at that, ranging from hot to stunning to sexy. He coughed lightly as he decided, setting his menu aside, seeing that she was done already as well. Seeing as business was slow, the service was also prompt. The waiter took their menus and was ready to receive their orders. Seeing as it was a night to be fancy, DJ ordered a steak and a baked potato, a bit normal for fancy times but classic all the same. He handed his menu to the waiter before turning to Sahtra for her order.

"I'd like a steak with broccoli--no cheese and avoid the salt if you can? That steak I would love to be medium rare. Oh! And can I have ice water with a lemon? With easy ice as well?"When she was finished, she looked at DJ. She gave a smile. "I figured it was a night to have fun. I'll return to my diet tomorrow."At last minute she had chose not to get the potatoes because of the carbs. Broccoli, though, would be a healthy and wonderful substitute. She let her hands rest in her lap. Mentally, she wanted to flirt with DJ to watch his reactions. He was very interesting. Other guys would get perverted grins or whatever but not DJ. This made it... fun for her. She reached her foot out and lightly bumped his, faking innocence while looking out the window with her lips opened in the slightest 'o' shape.

DJ smirked as she ordered, smiling back at her as she finished. "Oh I don't think you need to worry about a diet, but whatever suits you." He smiled warmly. He rarely paid attention much to diets and such, mainly because he tended to eat very little to begin with despite whatever kind of food he did eat. As they waited he felt her foot bump against his and jumped a little, he blinked for a second, not realizing the implication until a moment later. He looked away, a light blush on his cheeks but it wasn't the worst thing that could have transpired. Nervously he brushed his foot back against hers, so timidly that it could have been mistaken for a gust of wind.
He glanced towards her again, blinking softly as he saw her looking out the window. He didn't want to stare but he caught her lips in his gaze, tracing the alluring O shape with his eyes, not sure if she was doing it intentionally. He shook his head and tried to pretend it didn't get to him, looking out the window as well. "I-I've never been out and about at the academy this late before, it's quite beautiful at this time of night." He smiled sheepishly, looking up to the star-filled sky.

She felt the return foot brush and smiled shyly. "You just haven't had much reason to be out late."She scooted her chair closer to him and took a hand in his. "That's ok. I plan to make tonight as fun as I can make it for you."She gave him a flirty wink. She subtly adjusted her sitting to make her chest stick out a bit more... she was a flirt, but so the bloody hell what!

DJ blushed deeply as he felt her hand brush against his own. "I-I guess I haven't." He chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of his head with his free hand. When she spoke again he was even more flummoxed, squirming a bit in his seat, smiling nervously. "Oh this is already turning out to be quite fun." He nodded, trying to shake off the odd feeling her wink gave him, eyes drifting a bit as she shifted and he tried not to stare at her puffed-out chest. He glanced for a second before quickly shooting his head back up, trying to shake it off and give her a pleasant smile without staring.

She couldn't help but let out a giggle. It cut off quickly as she composed herself and their drinks were brought to them. She took a sip of her lemon water as her eyes wandered, keeping her posture. She looked back at DJ after she swallowed. "Have you ever been out like this before?"Her voice was soft and inquisitive. Despite all her upbringing and such, DJ seemed to be the only lower class to adjust to her needs/wants the easiest. No, not wants, needs for sure.

DJ was grateful when he saw their drinks being brought and they were set on the table. His throat was feeling extremely dry from his nervous state and he quickly took a sip of his lemonade as it was set down, letting out a slight sigh of relief that he could do more than squeak out words now. "Out like this?" He asked, wondering what she meant.
"No, I don't suppose I have, at least not in a long time." He nodded softly to himself. He hadn't done anything like this since being on the island but every once in a while when he was younger his parents had brought him to a few fancy places before, it just wasn't a regular thing. "Though I suppose that makes it somewhat refreshing and fun, I do like to try new things." He smiled warmly and nodded to the girl.

"I mean out on a date."She scooted closer, enjoying that she was probably making him flustered. Oh this was too much fun. She batted her eyelashes at him. She hadn't meant idle chit chat outings of course.

"O-Oh..." He blushed as she scooted closer, leaning over a bit, watching her eyelashes with his own eyes widening, very much flustered by her flirty behavior. "I-I... well..." He blinked, face a deep red as he sipped his drink nonchalantly. He had hung around girls like Nana and his sister's group before but nothing he would every consider a 'date' with romantic possibilities. "N-No... I guess not." He chuckled lightly.

She gave him a sly smile. "I see."She noticed that their food was being brought over so she sat up in her chair. She smiled softly as she looked at her food. "Well, remind me to make this the best date ever."She took a bite of her side with a smile. Well done. Well done indeed.

He was a bit unnerved by her smile but pushed out a nervous smile right back at her. He smiled as he saw their steaks coming, a bit relieved as he was starting to get hungry from a combined problem of putting off dinner and general nervousness about this 'date'. He looked his own over carefully with a smile, it looked delicious. Just as he was ready to begin he raised an eyebrow nervously, blush returning a bit as she spoke. "O-Oh? How exactly do you plan to do that?" He asked, almost regretting the words as soon as they got out of his mouth. He was sort of afraid to ask. He cut into his steak cautiously and took a bite, reassured that it tasted as good as it looked.
